Disney in the 1940s: We should make a movie where the main character’s mother gets brutally killed while the child runs around calling out for them and traumatizes children for decades to come
Disney in the 1990s: What should we do with this movie Wellwe could always go back to that very effective killing the parent off in a traumatic way scarring children for generations to come solution. I mean people who saw Bambi when it came out and everyone who’s seen it since have always been traumatized and haunted by Bambi’s mother’s death. We should do the exact same thing only with a father!
I love it! How about we make it Shakespearean and have his brother kill him and then lie blaming the death on the child. Therefore leaving the child with the unbearable weight of thinking he’s the reason his father died for years to come!
PERFECT! Children will absolutely be scarred by that!

I remember probably 2-3 years ago I was at our family friend’s house and our friend’s daughter came over with her son. They put on Toy Story 3 for him to watch. I ended up paying more attention to it then he did I was probably 17-18. Watching Toy Story 3 and specifically the scene where Andy gives up his toyswatching it at the same age that Andy is in the movie. realizing that I’m growing up and my life will change drastically once I move away from my family, remembering all the many toys that I’ve gotten rid of over the yearsI had tears streaming down my cheeks and then walked into the bathroom almost full on sobbing.

Disney really knows how to punch you right in the heart. hell I've even cried during almost every single tv show finale. I know as soon as I'm going to see a Disney movie I bring extra tissues with me because I will cry at some point. ive even seen grown men cry at certain Disney movies/shows really sucks that Disney blames himself for his mother's passing and that's why he almost always pays tribute to her by a parent passing

I’m surprised the scene from ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN scene where Charlie says goodbye to Ann-Marie, because if you watch the scene and learn what happened to Ann-Marie’s voice actress the scene is a whole lot of tearshed

I can't watch this. It's enough seeing Todd. I know what's coming. I can't. I can't watch Fox and the Hound. It absolutely breaks my heart. It makes me ugly cry. Nope! The song as she leaves him in the forest nope

That Toy Story ending hits different as a millennial going off to college at that same time after growing up with it. That so long, partner is so damn personal. Gets me every single time.

What Up did in the first 10 minutes was incredible. To go through a complete journey with the joy of love and the sadness of death so quickly.
I was not prepared for that.

I’m glad you included Nimona because it’s a beautiful film, an allegory for LGBT youth and adults who are ostracized by their families and society for not being normal

As a child in the 50s - 60s, I cried more over Lassie and Disney's Annette series than I did over any animated feature film except. Bambi.
