The only show I have watched is Voyager. Janeway was strong but had to become almost as robotic as Data. I have not seen GOT except for YT snippets. I have wondered how a character could remain so attractive and desirable while being a mass killer. Yes, I cried when I saw the scene where she, her body anyway, was carried off to somewhere by her last Dragon.
In recent TV Jennie in NCIS was the image of passionate strength that decided to die along with her assailants than in a hospital bed doped to the gills. In the same show Ziva was crazy at the start and crazy at the end. Aconfidence and independent spirit combined with her emotional connection to her friends.

I'd say just about every female character that are in major roles on The Expanse should be on this list. They are all strong characters, but in a variety of different ways. And they don't seem to be trying to be strong women which most of the characters on this list (I got this impression from the clips shown in this video - I think I've only watched 3 of the shows from which these characters are drawn. The female characters on The Expanse don't try they just are. Also The Walking Dead has a lot of strong female characters - Maggie, Carol & Michonne for example.

This list is ridiculous. I mean Daenerys. really? Abegggi. wo Cookie and Annalise deserve much better and there are many more powerful black female TV characters that didn't make this list eg Dr. Miranda Bailey, and is it me or was Jessica Pearson NOT ACTUALLY on the list cuz istg I didn't see her on it. For me it'll be chrisjen from the expanse. almost all the female characters in that series are so good and powerful that I don't think the bar expanse has set can't be broken in nearby future. also expanse is literally an underrated series.
