I'm really pleased to see Hugo in this list. However, I don't like Chloe Moretz as a person. As a passionate fan of Hans Christian Andersen, I'm very cross with her for pulling the plug on that version of The Little Mermaid after spending so much time promoting it in interviews. I would love to see a feature-length, mainstream, non-Disney version of the fairy tale in cinemas, and thanks to Moretz, I don't think we'll get it for the foreseeable future.

I definitely agree with #1. I guess the others are okay, though The Equalizer (which is an action film that indeed does take itself quite seriously) is questionable -- not that she was bad in it, but her screen time was very limited. Rather, I'd propose adding Dark Shadows to the list and maybe even Hick or Carrie.

Even though the movie as a whole wasn't the absolute best, Chloe's performance as Carolyn in Dark Shadows was really good, but that's just my personal opinion.
