For me personally, here is the top 10 strongest non-benders in the Avatar lore:
1. Piandao He is regarded as the worlds strongest swordsmaster. A former Fire Nation army and one of the people who played a huge role in the Liberation of Ba Sing Se.
2. Hakoda One the greatest Southern Water Tribe warrior. Played a huge role during the Day of the Black Sun invasion and later becoming a chief of the land he vowed to protect.
3. Sokka A versatile warrior and a master strategist.
4. Ty Lee Although she didnt invent chi-blocking she perfected the technique. Being able to defeat a seasoned Earth Kingdom team with ease.
5. Suki A Kyoshi warrior, proficient in Tessenjutsu, sword fighting and chi-blocking.
6. Asami Sato A master in hand-to-hand combat.
7. Mai An expert markswoman (Shuriken-jutsu)
8. Jet One of the strongest swordsman in the Avatar lore.
9. Kyoshi Warriors They became Zukos bodyguards after the war ended.
10. Yuyan Archers Elite team of archers.
Honorable mention: Freedom Fighters and Rough Rhinos

Master Piandao has to be the number 1. He is a deserter, but he resides peacefully in the Fire Nation, dwelling in a grand castle-like abode. He commands both fear and respect from the Fire Nation after defending himself by defeating hundreds of soldiers and firebenders without breaking a sweat just by himself. He has mastered every martial art and weapon known to man. Not only that, during the day of Sozin's comet, he triumphantly conquered Ba Sing Se alongside just a few members of the Order of the White Lotus, fending off hordes of firebenders and soldiers unscathed. Trained since childhood, he has never tasted defeat on any battlefield throughout his life.

I see a lot of comments about Ty Lee. Ty Lee here, Ty Lee there, Ty Lee should have been number one, Ty Lee should have been everywhere, etc. A lot of people in the fandom have a crush on her, and it shows! But am I the only one who just didn't care about her, or Mai?
I think this list was spot on, Sokka is just the awesomest non-bender (actually awesomest character, period, and then close by you have Asami and Suki, whom I love very much and who are badasses while still being kind and fancy! Would have put Zhu Lee Moon somewhere though, even just in the Honorable Mentions. Her character development, while short, was really great!

I'm sorry, but ty lee and asami might be the only ones who can defeat a bender in a fight. I love the other characters, sokka is my fave in both shows, and I will admit they are powerful, just not enough to defeat a powerful bender. Ty lee is really good getting close to them, and can hurt and take their bending away. Proof is when she chi-blocked azula, and azula is an extremely strong firebender. Asami has her glove, which can use electricity to her will, making her technically qualify as a lightning bender.

I think that ty lee should have higher up on the list, she literally took out a whole platoon of benders by herself. also, she was able to take out Azula! also, zho lee should have been on the list. also, Soka should not have been first, I know this is an unpopular opinion but i did not like Soka, i liked the comic real-life but he was misogynistic, i know that he had character development but i hated that he thought he should be in charge.

Sokka isthe best non-bender in the whole avatar universe! He learned all 4 of the non bending styles for each nation,
had the best ideas, and he was hilarious! Great job at putting Sokka on the list as #1. If he wasn't, I was about to unlike the video lol.

If jet isnt on this list.
Edit: I watched jets, calling him a antagonist kinda doesnt feel right to me even if thats what he is. He is complex and sure he works against the gaang until he dies. And I love him because he isnt really all that evil.

Hmmm. The fire nation ship captain that said prepare to sail back to Fire Nation and secure the prisoners (Zuko and Uncle Iroh. in that context.
Otherwise uncle and nephew may have died in prison, and Team Avatar may have lost the final fight.

Asami Is amazing, i love suki, but Asami's best option if you see all the things that happened to her, was to choose evil. BUT NO! SHE IS GOOD and loyal

Am I the only one that feel like Aang and Ty Lee might be related? The look alike, and both have very bubbly and positive personalities.

Cabbage guy is great. Why didn't Zuko simply hire him to find Aang? Dude clearly is the best amongst all 4 nations at finding the Avatar.

Its awesome the water tribe didn't believe that a bender would be a better leader just because they could bend and fight.

I dissgree, Varrick should be after Ty Lee. Without her, chi blockers wouldn't exist like how they do in LoK.
