It is rather amusing that although the choices of actors for the male roles was fairly spot on to the books the female roles were very wrong! Although she proved she can act Nina Dobrev was WRONG as Elena, character - blonde, Bonnie- character as was Irish red-head and Vicki was brunette and only a small part!
Then there was another female character not even mentioned! Really the books and the series really only share a name and THAT frustrates me AT least with Twilight the books and series/films are relatable!
BAD MOVE Julie Plec! The books series was only 3 books and then Hollywood got wind of it, Actually Julie Plec, and she got the author to write 3 more sequels before sacking her and getting another author to write the last 13 books. Which 6 are prequels to Vampire Diaries - Stefans story!

I beyond love Nina as Elena, they couldn't have cast it better. But if I was pushed to choose a blonde actress to play her, I would lean towards Ashely Benson from PLL. But Team Nina all the way, no one could have better chemistry with both Ian and my fave Paul

Whos side r u on? I think Damons the best. But it was still heart breaking when Stefen died at the end. And the ending was so fast! Elena wakes up, stefen dies, Katherine comes back and dies again, Enzo dies. ugh. It was the saddest ending of a series ever
