Save your money for makeup products that actually work because these 10 products are definitely overrated. Were talking about Detox Masks, Tinted Moisturizer, Lash Primer, face products, BB Cream, Cuticle Oil, and expensive Mascaras

Cant really understand that new Kardashians generation kids.
I would never want to have a fake lip that is ridiculous Im sorry that is very silly. I dont find even attractive looks like a bee bitten her lips and she had a reaction or something. I was thinking of the products list but I guess for exemple the face mask in the US might be expensive maybe but here in the UK you can get very good quality non tested in animals face mask for less than 1 pound to 1 pound in SAvers store. I wouldnt have all that trouble mixing stuff that might cost more than buying the mask here (even because we live in such tiny studios the area I live that might be a size of a bathroom in the US, theres no space to mix stuff or something like that )if I can get for a pound and I dont use often anyway. When I use it makes the difference. The moisturiser I understand but I still like the Clinique more. I have a very hard skin to use something and most of them can give me a rash unfortunately. I think one garnier worked once but I still prefer the high end one because in my opinion makes the difference. You shouldnt chose something like that by brand but by the brand that works for your skin.

The entire list and its alternative suggestions completely overlook the convenience factor and time saved using a prepared product. I can pick up takeout at a restaurant myself but I can also have it delivered using DoorDash, AmazonNow, etc. If I'm tired or just not feeling the drive to fetch the food, I'm going for the convenience of delivery. So if you enjoy mixing up your own kitchen concoction, great-have at it but it's not likely to give the same feeling of pampering that many of us expect when treating ourselves to commercial beauty products. If I have to measure and mix to me it's just more work. I'll keep my sheet masks and pre made cream masks (and the many brands that offer them for under $5, undercutting the cost savings implied when using a DIY mask; unless you happen to have all the necessary ingredients handy, you'll have to buy them. I'm not likely to enjoy smearing my breakfast cereal on my face, calling it a beauty treatment, but that's just me.

What I disagree with:
1) Tinted moisturizer - depends on your skin type and what you are looking for. If you do like the natural I'm not wearing make-up but I'm actually wearing make-up look, then it might be the one for you. The end results also depends on your skin type. I've tried it but it didn't work for me. For some others, it worked well for them.
2) Expensive moisturizer - they are expensive because the ingredients they have. If you look at Aveeno, the ones cost < $10 are just regular face cream. Yet, if you want to purchase Aveeno with SPF, there is a price jump. I do partially agree with the video where SPF is more important in terms of day cream. I currently use No. 7 Early Defense ($20+. I tried Philosophy Hope in a Jar ($40) and don't feel much of difference; both have SPF 30. For night cream, I use Boscia which contains cactus water to hydrate my face. I love it. It costs $39 and it's worth it for the ingredients.

I have to disagree with expensive moisturizer. I'm a budget shopper when it comes to makeup and skincare, but I have extremely dry and sensitive skin, caused by roseaca. I've gone through hundreds, and I mean HUNDREDS of various moisturizers and oils and serums that make various claims about adding moisture to the skin, and the only one that I have found that I really and truly love is $160- the Illuminating Moisturizer by Omorovicza.
I normally would never spend anywhere near that close to any skin product, but I got a sample of it at work and it is better than anything else I have ever tried. Thankfully I get a discount on it through my job, but even with the discounted price, it's easily 2-3x the price of any cosmetics I have ever purchased in my life.
Not bashing the video, just had to voice my opinion!

Actually it depends on the dark spots. If the dark spots are due to sun or discoloration, it might not work (not sure. But I had this odd freckle on the side of my nose all my life I hated (I am a woman btw. I have some brown freckles (and I hate them) but this one was black and it always bothered me. It wasn; t raised, like a mole, just a little black freckle. I got some Aveeno dark spot cream thing and put it on my spots. It did nothing to the light brown freckles or spots from the sun. But in about a week, that black spot practically disappeared. I can still see it, but when I put on a light coat of foundation it's gone, whereas in the past I used to spend so much time concealing it! I was so happy I want to write to Aveeno one day! So some things do work on some things.

If you want plumper lips without irritating your lips when you brush your teeth lightly over your lips or if you have a tongue brush which is softer than a regular toothbrush use that instead instead of irritating the lips it helps the blood flow circulate which makes your lips plumper and a more rosy color. Use Vaseline and do lip scrubs with honey sugar and salt twice a week. Also Vaseline helps bring the blackheads to the surface so they are easier to remove. Putting Vaseline on your face at night actually helps rejuvenate your face and makes a healthy glow. Charcoal also helps clear your face so I recommend washing your face with charcoal daily. Peppermint will irritate the skin so I would not recommend using it! Remember if it stings its not good for you!

The assertion that the only way to improve cellulite is diet/exercise is complete bunk. Any reputable medical provider will tell you that genetics play the overwhelmingly dominant role in whether a woman has it. You don't have to be even a pound overweight to have it. While diet and exercise may improve your overall health and possibly tone the thighs, the cellulite lies deep within/are part of the connective tissue that isn't affected by weight loss or targeted toning. A cream might temporarily improve it but the bottom line is that you won't get rid of it without pretty painful surgery (e. g, Cellulaze, Cellfina, etc. And even those procedures aren't guaranteed to be permanent.

The best skincare tip: keep out of the sun. I hated being the pasty one in my 20s and 30s but I was rewarded at 45. I look so much younger than so many women, even those younger than me because they tanned. I had a friend and a cousin die at 32 from skin cancer. Like me they were redheads so I've learned to be careful. Love the peppermint oil trick. the olive oil and sugar mix is great for dry hands too.

I have to disagree with expensive moisturizer. After receiving a sample for an expensive oil control moisturizer I noticed a huge decrease in acne I've had for years, ended up spending the gross price tag on a full bottle with no regrets. It really all depends on you and your skin needs, but always test anything with samples so you know it is worth the cash.

No, Korean BB creams are amazing. A lot of them have same coverage as foundation and they have a high SPF and they moisturize my skin. Korean BB creams are the best shit ever.
Also, I usually agree about not needing expensive moisturizer, but the best cream I've ever tried is Harmonizen Regenerating Cream by Sulwhasoo and it's expensive as hell.

i dont agree with the cuticle oil one. cuticle oil can be really necessary if you use nail polish pretty much every day like me because you're always removing polish with acetone which gets in your cuticles and dries them out. when cuticles dry out it makes them difficult to remove without damaging and causing pain to the skin surrounding the nail
reply

Cuticle Oils need not be expensive. but it's really necessary.
BB Creams and Tinted Moisturizers are not necessary for the entire Make-up routine as not all of us apply make up everyday. That's where you need these products for minimum coverage and when you don't have to blend it in so much. The Bottom 10 needed to be on top

Why are people always giving so much credit to Kylie Jenner for things? Lip plumping products have been popular since the early 2000s, maybe even the 90s. She certainly isnt the reason big lips have gotten popular. Most of all, her products to help plump your lips! Its literally just lipstick, like any other damn brand.

I can't really wear Asian BB creams. Only Sulwhasoo and Amore Pacific really make darker shades suitable for medium/tan skin tones and they're unbelievably expensive. I actually really like tinted moisturisers. Laura Mercier's for ex. evens out my skin tone, but doesn't necessitate looking cakey etc.

I can buy a highend moisturizer and not once break out even after several months of it being open but a cheap one will break my skin out instantly or so quickly that i just wasted money anyways, every time. Get something for your skin with good quality ingredients even if you spend a bit more.

expensive mud mask such glamglow is overrates af when its not pure clay but mixed w other things. Azleic indian clay is like 10$ for a big 450g container. you will feel your skin bubble n thats bcuz the mask mixed w apple cider vinegar or water is sucking out impurities n its 100% clay from nile river.

I agree with most of this but lash primer does serve a purpose. It coats your lashes in product that mascara is then layered over, which does make lashes look longer and thicker. And if someone feels particularly insecure about having short lashes, lash primer will work.
reply

If u want Kylie's lips u need injections. Not sure what shitty tinted moisturizer you tried, I love mine on days I don't want a heavy foundation. I agree 100% on mascara though. I never waste my money on high end mascara
reply

I cannot live without my Caudalie brightening serum, it has helped some much with my past acne scars that even dermatologists couldn't help fade. Alot of these things on this list need to be taken out.
reply

Also, don't buy into Bio Oil! I put in on my stretch marks and it made THEM WORSE! Now they are raised and red and I want to sue that company so bad! They were just white before. :///
reply

I mix moisturizer and foundation. For not much coverage and when I don't want it to be super matte. Than I dab concealer. But I've never bought a seperate bb cream.
reply

That hydro boost moisturizer is AMAZING. I have the water boost one and am absolutely obsessed! Honestly tho, Neutrogena makeup products are extremely underrated
reply

I don't agree with the lash primer one. I use the nyx lash primer before applying my They are real mascara and it makes a big difference. Lots of volume.

I've always thought it was incredibly disingenuous for Kylie Jenner to sell lip plumping kits when she got her bigger lips with a needle full of botulism.
reply

Glamglow's mask is amazing! It works wonders on my skin! I've tried several other brands, but there's no comparison to any of Glamglow's products!
reply

I use Origins Vitazing (tinted, self-adjusting moisturizer that contains SPF) and it's great at both providing light coverage and providing moisture.
reply

Says we should buy moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and shows Neutrogena which costs $20 right after saying dont buy expensive moisturizers. Ok.
reply

If you are too lazy to make lip exfolliants, Elf has one in the shape of bullet lipstick for $3. And it comes in different flavors.
reply

I've used the cheap moisturizer and it breaks me out and feels heavy on my face I buy high end and I don't have that problem
reply

I don't really buy highend makeup unless it comes to eyeshadow I'm willing to spend more for eyeshadow to get something good
