The only thing about the special edition that bothers me a little bit is that in both the artbook & the reversable slipcover of the game's box, the Hoshido Royal Family is displayed on the front in both items. I really wish that at the very least Nintendo would've displayed the Nohr Royal Family on the front side of either side of the game box's reversable slipcover.
Nintendo seems to be playing a little favoritism prominently featuring the Hoshido side on the front of both the sprcial edition's book & game box not to mention that the slogans for the 1st 2 games in the Fates Trilogy also reek of blatant favoritism with Birthright (Hoshido) stating -Return to The Light- while Conquest (Nohr) stating -Embrace The Darkness- making it sound as if only the Hoshido family are good while the entire Nohr family is evil when in reality only Corrin's adopted father the King of Nohr is the only real villain in both C & B while Corrin's adopted Nohr siblings are every bit as honorable & loyal as Corrin's Hoshido siblings!
Like I said, I just wish that Nintendo wouldn't have featured Hoshido on the front side of all the contents of the special edition: (

I had this reserved in Puerto Rico, but when it was announced that all GameStop stores were going to close I was forced to cancel my reservation and I lost this hard to find piece of gaming. Not gonna lie. It kinda hurt and left me pissed off. I even called Gamestop's offices to see if my reservation could be transfered to an online purchase but they said there was nothing they could do. Thanks for sharing this video. At least I could see what it brings.

I got the retail version of Conquest, if you pay 59. 99 as opposed to 39. 99 ($20 more) you get a downloadable code for the digital version of Birthright.
The game case just has Conquest on it, with a traditional back side (screen shots, legal warning stuff, ect. The game cartridge itself also only says Conquest.
Also, my local game stop didn't get any pre-orders, so they gave me the 3 key chain bundle as well!

So, just to make sure. The Japanese edition of the Special Edition didn't have Revelation in the game cart, but it came with a free download code for that path. Seeing that there is no download code in this packaging, it seems that it is true that Revelation is already in the US Special Edition, available three weeks early?

Does anyone know if the special edition is going to be on sale in stores or was it only available to get online? I was planning on getting the special edition but hearing that they're sold online has me worried that i missed the boat on getting it.

I'm annoyed that it's sold out, but if the Hoshido/Nohr and Revelations downloads are only $19. 99 digitally I'm not too perturbed. I thought I was missing out on a $20 discount as well as the book and bag.

This video confirms that both versions can fit on a single cartridge, which means the only reason Nintendo is selling the games separately is because they can scam people out of more money.

I'm kicking myself for not pre-ordering this. But to be fair, stuff like this is twice as hard to find in Canada. Even when this was announced, pre-orders never opened on Amazon. :(

I was able to clutch out a SE last night at the 11th hour Best Buy restocked through their eBay front and about 2000 people were able to snag one. That was close lol

Since 3ds cartridges vary from 1GB-8GB in capacity, don't you all think they use a different type for the SE and the normal ones?
