The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Wii U's best new feature is Hero Mode, a difficulty setting that doubles the damage you take while removing recovery hearts from the game entirely. Here's why it's the best way to play

Something I think I noticed about Nintendo's design philosophy, that explains why their games tend to be so easy:
Beating a Nintendo game isn't meant to be a challenge, but rather, beating it on 100% is. So, that's why the main quest is so easy: it's the sidequests that are designed to be hard. Personally, I prefer it the other way around (easy sidequests, hard main quest, but whateves.
Personally, in my playthrough I'm going to try Hero Mode and do it all in one life. No Ganondorf, though.

Im so glad that they have the ganondorf ammibo addition. When I play a Zelda game I want to play it with all the nostalgia intact, but I hate how easy they are. Hero Mode takes away the hearts, and to me that takes away a part of what a Zelda game is. Im so happy I can play the game with a harder difficulty and keep my Zelda game intact. (At least for my first playthrough, ill probably try the hardcore mode after)

Not hating on anyone i just state my opinion everyone can play how every they feel but imma stick to normal modes cause bruh i kept dying lmao
Dude is telling me to play on hero mode cause it will force you to use your tools and its a big deal to get hit or so and not a big deal on normal mode
Me: normal mode getting killed my enemies pretty big deal and its still challenging even its a normal mode

I know I can beat the game in Hero mode. I beat it the entire game once with only 3 hearts. I will probably use hero mode when I get the game on the 27th of this month. Going to be recording my playing it. I also have a ocarina of time, and a link to the past on my site. I also have master quest on my videos. The A Link to the past is only up to the first real dungeon right now.

I beat TP on Gamecube ages ago, and I wanted to playthrough it again. Bought the HD version for Wii U and jumped right into Hero mode. I wanted to try the mirror effect mostly. I think TP is easy, because it was designed to be playable for the original Wii before Wii Motion Plus controls were available.

This whole video is basically what the souls community has been trying to explain to the easy mode crowd. It may be frustrating at first, but if you stick with it you'll see how rewarding and satisfying it will feel. It will give more meaning to the mechanics and tools at your disposal.

If you mange to use the magic armor at just the right times and you have a full wallet you can beat the cave of ordeals much easier. I manged to get to the 2nd I think it was even the 2nd time beating it. Without using any potions at all.

I'd prefer the enemies to jave triple health instead of just increasing enemy damage and add a bunch of enemy spawns so you fight large hordes of enemies in places like hurule field and lake hylia and in dungeons and what not

I want to play this so bad, but I hate how they force mirror mode on you. I grew up on the Wii version which is also mirrored, and I want to experience the non-mirrored version with a harder difficulty.

The reason why the parrot needs your ruppees:
That parrot belongs to Coro, the Lanter salesman (You'll notice the same haircut. So, Coro feeds it in return for it guarding his ruppees.

avoid the hero mode. It makes it more just annoying without being able to pick up heart pieces and you don't even start at the beginning of the dungeon but at the room you were in.

This is Nintendo's version of -HD? - Halo 2 Anniversary in the Master Chief Collection was an -HD- remake. This barely looks better than a 2005 Wii game.

Polygon you're such freaking liars I'm SPECIFICALLY referring to your breath of the wild master trials: final trials walk through. DID YOU EVEN PLAY THE GAME!

finally nintendo understood the value of risk in games. they realized it pretty late, but well. better than never.

so instead of buying a dead failed console and a small expensive ganondorf toy how can I mod my Rom for Free?

You can only pay 1 rupee for them, Trill a bit is insulting you, but you get away anyway.

Been playing on Hero Mode and it's FANTASTIC. Potions really matter now.
Thank you for convincing me!

I was about to play it on Hero mode but they flipped the game like on the Wii version! Massive dealbreaker. :(

It's even harder when you played the ngc version. It's mirrored and the control scheme is switched up.

wanna challenge yourself even more? once you get the zora armor dont take it off for the rest of the game
