Btw someone might have already pointed this out, but exeggcute were never eggs, that wasn't retconned per se. Ther very first pokedex entry for them says: -Often mistaken for eggs. When disturbed, they quickly gather and attack in swarms. - It's a bit confusing because later Pokedex entries alternate between calling them eggs and seeds. But given that the evolution Exeguttor is clearly based on a Dracaena tree whose seeds look a bit like cracked eggs, it's more likely that they are supposed to be seeds, and that certain Pokedex entries just -confuse- them for eggs.
Kind of goes with the theory that the Pokedex entries are actually written by you, the player character, i. e. a ten year old. (An explanation for entries claiming things like Magcargo being 18, 000 degrees F--which is just crazy.

I actually discovered this playthrough while looking up things to watch. while i play my own Y nuzlocke. I spent. so long fighting milktank and tauros in that area, but i NEVER found one with that move- they had bide, body slam, milk drink, and rollout. Like, levels 33-35- all the way to 45. i guess i was luckier than i thought(also, shoutout to my diggersby boris who is a lovely lady who survived with 1hp BC SHE LOVES ME)

my lucario got destroyed by korrina's during that initial -let's try out mega evolutions! - thing at the tower so i named him Icarus. first fight with him and he just got murked. poor lad
