I've just played a bit of the latest demo and this game's not looking any better than it did last time. It's ugly, graphics are poor, lighting's bad, map design is terrible. What's with all the long, thin boring pathways? Why even bother with a -world-, why not just force the player to fight several AI before fighting the boss. Feels to me like they half-heartedly made the game resemble Dark Souls to grab that audience, but really they just made a Ninja gaiden game, which if you're a fan of the Ninja game is okay, but I'll pass for now and maybe see what the end product is because as it is now it doesn't appeal.

The core of this game is Onimusha & Okami, AKA Japanese.
This game has been in development for years, but the Souls games did push the mechanics forward.
There is a ton of depth to this game, if you've played the demo.
Witcher! Nothing like it. William is more Tenkai than Geralt anyway.
If you want see the original Souls game, watch The Immortal.

Recognised Masachika Ichimura from 13 Assassins in the latest trailer. Glad it's in Japanese language with english subs for greater authenticity, although it looks like they could have done with much less of the the supernatural shit and a more realistic focus. Disappointing considering it's apparently originally based on an unfinished Akira Kurosawa script.

I don't play Darksouls but know what it looks like. This looks the same. Five seconds into the video, that was my conclusion. Then I noticed the HUD. So after that, I'm even more convinced its a Darksouls type game. I would say ripoff, but I'm not a gamestorian, so I can''t say what came first, and I don't want to trigger anyone.

This actually reminded me much more of Lords of the Fallen than Dark Souls (but, ofc, Nioh being far superior.
Also, now a bit afraid to play because I already see how easily it can ruin my DS skill with different control layout and stamina flow: (

to bad it looks like i won't get it for pc tho. i just don't want to buy another action game for my ps4.

Lol at people who think this game is a Dark Souls clone, this is clearly more heavily inspired by capcoms Oni musha and Devil May Cry than it is Dark Souls but not to say they didn't take some inspiration from Dark Souls.

WHAT IS THAT WEAPON AT 17: 20 Holy shit I'm getting so hyped to play this. Also interesting to note the long tongued Ogres have changed skin quite a bit from the beta. They look better, the beta version looked a little comical.

I am a huge soulsborne fan to the point my ps4 and Xbox one gametags have references to the game, so I don't mind if it's similar at all, I wish more games would take after dark souls if its not broke don't fix it.

Looks like Team Ninja has moved on from its core fan base and is now looking to make games for the prepubescent tweens. Thanks for all the great Ninja Gaiden games. Been a fan since 1989. Good luck with the new market.

As a hardcore player of Dark Souls with 1000+ hours in all 3 games, this looks like an easymode dark souls with bland and boring level design and randomly placed enemies. Im gonna get it though, it looks fun.

i'm looking at an extinction level event when it comes to pc gaming. ps4 exclusives have the best graphics anyway. now with the pro playing these exclusives at native 4k pc really can't compete

On the surface it might look like a souls game but it most definitely is not. It has Ki pulsing different stances better fighting mechanics. Prepare to have your asses handed to you noobs.

4K dynamic game what usually hits the 4K or 1880p and only on the most demanding escenes drops to 2K.

I'm really hoping that we get the same type of huge, beautiful landscapes in this game like we did with the souls series. So stoked for this game though, looks amazing.

Would of been better if he could play, after first 3 hrs I was better than this. It was hard to watch him never uses low stance and get hit by everything.
