Only thing grabbing my attention are Mario Kart and Mario Odyssey, only thing else is Skyrim but I literally have that for every platform it's been released on so it's not enough to warrant buying a switch, and theres no mention of a Super Mario Maker port and that's the ONLY game then even made me look at the Wii U's direction for any amount of time and the only other big hit coming is Minecraft and with how 4J is slow AF that should be expected around 2019 and five versions behind the other console ports. Nintendo needs to either speed up their devs on their HUGE IPS (LoZ, ffs if I remember correctly BoTW was teased at the end of the oringinal Wii's lifespan) or start getting AAA support or they're gonna fade into obscurity, I WANT the switch to be successful to a degree that MATTERS in today's gaming market, being able to take any game on the go would be the tits, Nintendo has the console on point this time, but they sorely need the games, gimme MGSV, Witcher, Fallout 4 and Super Mario Maker and I'd buy it twice over just to give one to a friend.

So basically what I'm getting from the comments is. y'all wanted to spend $1000+ on launch day for games in the Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, Metroid, Zelda, Super Mario, Pokemon, Mario Kart, etc. franchises? Well, if we're going to get some decent games on this thing in the coming years, I just hope it performs better than the Wii U. If we're so desperate for Metroid, Animal Crossing, etc, let's show a little faith and support!
In the meantime, I'm excited to try out some new stuff (Arms, Snipperclips, indie offerings, etc, as well as playing some serious Zelda Breath of the Wild! -rubs hands together in anticipation-

So there are 5 games in the -launch lineup- that are actually launching with the system. The rest are after it launches and Mario Odyssey is a -launch window- title that is going to be released more than six months later?

The way I see it is, that this is the lineup for the games on Nintendo Switch which launch in 2017. Those are game launches. It doesn't always mean at the same time the console launches.

I really wanted to get the switch at launch but there is only one good game to me but I don't think it's worth buying the whole console. I'm honestly sad about that.
