alt. ctrl. GDC is a GDC exhibit showcasing alternative controllers. Nick flew a spaceship made out of a cardboard box, played a laser lute, and bumped bellies with other GDC 2017 attendees. Check out alt. ctrl. GDC's website for more

The sandbox thing was really impressive in my opinion. I think it was the Digipen entry? If I remember correctly, the original concept was to make a tower defense game where you actually get to make the stuff out of sand to see it appear in the game, but what they had still was pretty cool!

I love the idea of these controllers actually impacting the future of console controllers. Especially getting away from the traditional grippy shoulder-hunching methods we use for hours on end.
Also! Everybody's boyfriend is a lefty! No wonder he's so good.

All jokes aside, I love Nick Robinson. He's the best reporter at Polygon, and potentially the most talented communicator. He's also very good at sweeping his hair away while bumping bellies with a stranger.

Scrolling through I saw the video pic and thought it was a still from the beginning of Ghostbusters with the guy being tested by Vankman.

I was about to say Nick was the only white man there then I saw an asshole in the background with an untucked dress shirt and a top hat.

i love that game making has become so accessible that we get creative minds able to stuff like this just for fun and experimentation

The amount of creativity on display in this video totally blew me away. This right here, this is what's great about games.

This is something so ephemeral and it makes me so jealous that I'll probably never get to experience it.
