Katana Zero is a hardcore action game where you have to overcome insurmountable odds with just your trusty sword and some mind-altering drugs looks like a side on hotline Miami with bullet time. although the more player controlled input on the story (Or so it seems at least) is nice, Ive gotta say hotline did it better. it was smoother and faster, resets being instant. although reviewing the footage in real time is a nice touch I prefer that shocking silence in hotline. leaving you to stew in what you just did. though I suppose this is going for a different feel to hotline.\r\n

Interesting. By and large the same game, but the game on release is a bit more polished.
A few differences I noticed skipping around. The glowing gun joke gets moved to much later in the game (better impact IMO, good call. Seems like the Limo scene got added later, and V was changed from being something of a loser to the much more dangerous gangster criminal we got.

It's actually not time-rewinding. You're planning out your move in the actual gameplay. The recorded camera footage when you clear the level is the actual ZERO running and killing people. Took me a while to figure it out too hehe.

Why do game journalists suck so bad at playing games. I swear I know 4 year olds who are much quicker than polygons -gamers-

I find the rewind effect when you die annoying, I wish it were a quicker reset. otherwise this game looks super rad.

At 8: 40 you can hear Luciano Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma from Pucini's opera, -Turandot-. What a pleasent surprise.

Lovely, like Strider and Ninja Gaiden crossed with a Nicolas Winding Refn/Miss Kittin soundtrack. Shall seek out.

please have an option to turn off the white flash when you die and this will be my favorite game of all time.

Trailers were gorgeous, the gameplay seems to deliver also. Love the smooth animations and cool 80's ambiance!
