Todd Howard PROMISED that Fallout 76 would include plenty of West Virginia folklore, and from what we've seen so far, he doesn't disappoint. How many cryptids can we expect to fight? Where is MOTHMAN? Watch ALL of our E3 2018 content

There-s a video that JuiceHead posted that confirmed that the Legendary Mothman will be in the game, in the video he stated that -the Mothman will feel and look like a special creature and he will stand out from the rest of the pack when it-s comes to his behavior and attacks- kinda reminds me of the alien in Fallout 4. I personally don-t know why the Mothman is necessary an enemy, cause he just predicts disastrous events but never the less he-ll be in the game. I hope Bethesda makes him look epic, big huge, with glowing red eyes and they make him a very high level. -

2: 40 - The Rake? I mean, it looks kind of similar; Pale skinny humanoid in a forest.
2: 45 - That's actually mothman. I mean, it has the compound eyes and curly antennae of a moth. Apparently he'll just be watching and stalking you through the early stages of the game, but he has stages as you progress.
2: 53 - I don't think that's a mole person. That's probably flatlands monster, since it has the cowl.

I think the cryptid at 2: 44 is mothman. In the just-released Noclip documentary, they mention that mothman has multiple stages (caterpillar man) and showed that footage while talking about mothman.

augh, I'm torn between not caring for multiplayer and wanting to take photos of cryptids and exploring that GORGEOUS looking world. maybe if mods are allowed ill consider it

As a West Virginian, I'm enthusiastic that they took the -mysterious fantasy woodland- angle as opposed to the -economically devastated red-state- one.

this is such a genius idea for enemy design. I always found fallout's creatures pretty lackluster, so i'm glad theyre going outside the box for this one

We actually found him he is level 35 with red eyes and runs when you get close to him he will not fight you until you shoot him he will immediately fly away

haven't heard anyone say it yet but I'm pretty sure the white goblin boy is a Hopkinsville goblin, even though the eyes are different (look it up)

The bug eyed monster with antennae looks MUCH more mothlike, I would assume that may be the mothman inspired creature rather than the FWM

This game is turning out to be really dope the more coverage it gets compare, I wasn-t into the idea but it-s growing on me

It's not the Flatwoods Monster. It's the Mothman. He looks like he's just perched. He's even got moth eyes and antennae.
