ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY: Is It Like a Bioware Game? - Polygon - E3 2018

Assassin's Creed Odyssey revealed romance options and dialog trees at E3 2018. These qualities are maybe most associated with Bioware, but that doesn't mean that Ubisoft can't do it too. So how alike are they, and what does romance in AC Odyssey look like? Watch ALL of our E3 2018 content

It would be more correct to say you can romance -either gender- than -all genders- in this game. They only include the two binary genders, so nonbinary people like me don-t exist to be romanced. I appreciate the thought, but it-s important not to talk as though there-s nonbinary representation in games that have erased nonbinary characters. Otherwise, great review!

NPC used in a romance sidequest, so the only logical conclusion is she is going to die, probably in some violent unnecessary way (think nanny getting eaten in Jurassic World unnecessary violent, MC will be sad for one cutscene, and then act like it never happened. Hurray?

The AC-games shouldn't be too fre though. You are exploring the past. Not changing it. Great if the characters are bi/gay or what ever, but the path is laid out. The romances are set. But let's see.

Did this have to be an AC game? I really feel like this would have been fine (possibly even better) outside of the AC franchise. Still looks really good, so I might check it out.

And then they were stoned to death. But hey, the game takes liberties with history anyway, might as well make it a better place if you're not going to be historically accurate.

This video and presenter is hilarious.
Looking forward to this game. Wasn-t what I was expecting from AC but I-m loving everything I-m seeing and hearing.

I do like the idea that all of the dialogue options are not so clear cut of good/bad/neutral because that's not really how talking to someone works lol

This is the first Assassin's Creed I'm going to pick up since Assassin's Creed II. I'm just such a sucker for this stuff. Looking forward to October.

I can't believe I'm going to play an assassin's creed game after all these years. But like. I am EXTREMELY going to play this.

It won't actually change anything in game. You say something, same outcome, say another thing, same outcome.

Thank goodness I won't feel obligated to be nice to every single person for once. I'm freeeeeeeee!
