Pok-mon Edibility - Unraveled

Pok-mon Edibility - Unraveled

FBTwitterReddit

video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
For his final Unraveled, Brian David Gilbert unravels Pok-mon edibility I would argue that -edibility- is multi-faceted and in some ways relative. For example, a lion, a crab, and a chicken are all ostensibly edible; however the viability of them being eaten varies wildly.
Moltres, if you could catch one, may taste like Nashville hot chicken- but the risk and opportunity factors make it significantly lower on the edibility spectrum.
Magikarp, on the other hand, practically serves itself on a plate and poses little risk but the chance that it tastes like the paste inside generic fish sticks lowers its overall score.
The overall score would have to find the pokemon that would be the best balance of opportunity (e. g. population size and stability, and food-yield per specimen, risk (how likely is it for you to get injured or eaten while trying to capture for food, and potential deliciousness. I would also add the wildcard of -would eating this make me more of an awful person than Im comfortable with? - Which could play a factor in the rating of both the adorable- such as spicy nuggy Torchic- or the nigh-cannibalistic such as hitmonlee who is basically just a boxer.\r\n

see but ranking things on edibility does make sense.
Pizza and lettuce are both equally edible BUT
boneless wings are more edible than wings with bone in them.
How much of the thing is edible should have been a factor for edibility rankings. I feel like you're choosing to adopt a black and white approach to this frankly complicated and interestingly nuanced project and I am ashamed of you.
yeahhhh togepi is pretty tasty lookin eh.

I still want that full hour of Castlevania lore. As someone who finds real world mythology fascinating but doesn't have the time or drive to do the research myself, an hour-long lecture on Castlevania monsters actually does sound fascinating. Instead of convincing me it was a bad idea, that short clip only left me hungry for more. Release the full hour-long lecture. You already recorded it, and everyone seems to want it so just do it.

unravled isnt about proving the answer to anything. not the theory, or the rank, or the actual info at hand. whatever that is. its about breaking Brian. its about the entertainment value of watching a man's mind and soul completely shatter like a mirror being crushed under the weight of a freight train.
reply

Probably the worst Unraveled. It's like sitting through your parents lecturing you for being wrong for 20 minutes even though they've completely ignored what you've tried to tell them and how you're not right but you kinda just have to sit and listen because they're your parents.

Could you say that a puffer fish or sea urchin is more inedible than a cow? Because the prior two are a lot more complicated to prepare so that you don-t die vs a cow when you can maybe even eat it raw and just MAYBE get sick?
reply

its 8 minutes before you talk about the subject at all. You even showed a one slide list of edible pokemon. I could have looked them all up before you f-in started the video. This is why your website is dying

just remember, kids wrote all of these pokedex entries and no one proofed them before hitting print. i usually look at the description as silly thoughts kids would have seeing a pokemon for the first time.

Togepi is a hatched egg, not sure its particularly edible, also all pokemon produce eggs so all species would be just as edible? I think we arent done exploring this, we probably need a second video.

My man i still want the castlevania hour cut, im an art student i watch 10 hs videoessays of things i dont care about, what makes you think i wouldnt watch that at least once a week?
reply

Re: hour long castlevania cut, It's frankly sad the Brian seems devoid of the kind of deep passionate interests that make seeing that things' equivalent of paint drying exciting.

Bulbasaur is edible, Magikarp is mostly bones so quite hard to eat, Cleffa is from space so I might not want to eat it. Alakazam is literally a human just mutated, cannibal

Despite the insurmountable amount of pokemon food stuff out there, this was an incredible spot to find out a great deal nonetheless!
-Cracks open a castform and drinks-

Honestly that snippet of castlevania was kinda nice and to be fair I enjoy lectures in general but I think learning a bunch of miscellaneous mythology would be neat
reply

-Most edible- probably could be defined by the optimized intersection between the following variables: ease of preparation, nutritional value, and deliciousness
reply

I come back after having traveled and tracked the truth far and wide
My answer was Pokemon eggs in general, but specifically Magikarp eggs for an umami flavor

reply

. and that's why pokemon creators made Alcremie - pokemon that can literally produce whipped cream and that's why it's most edible of them all
reply

This would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't filled with you complaining about doing it. I get it your viewers wanted it but hot damn.

It's the first video I've seen of this person, how terrible, is he okay? Why does someone make a video that they don't want to do?
reply

Coming back 2 years ago and Despite the catch phrase catching them all is third on the list of things people want to do to pokemon
reply

Funny he said he didn't want to do this because it was way to done, but also did a zelda timeline video
