I-ve really grown to appreciate the -set boundaries- step at the beginning of collective storytelling. I-m DMing Curse of Strahd, and I tried to ask my players if there was any lines they didn-t cross. They didn-t speak up, and honestly they-re a group very open to edgy subjects, but Curse of Strahd is definitely a setting where a lot of triggering issues can come up. I definitely set a few boundaries myself I wasn-t willing to cross.

Hey, I like this series, but you guys HAVE to do a better job of introducing your guests. It doesn't matter if you have the most famous person in the world on your show, you still have to introduce somebody to give context for who this person is. Assume there are people who have never heard of your guest, no matter how well-known you may think they are.

hey lemme tell you, i've worked at a Radio Shed and batteries were the highest-profit-margin item in that place. corporate used to write us up if we didn't ask -every- transaction if people wanted batteries. i specifically asked them if i still had to ask if they literally bought batteries and the answer was unironically yes.
solid choice Binny.

1) Tweedy Custard is THE best name ever created on this show
2) RadioShed is the off-brand RadioShack. AND the off-brand Radiohead! Bit let down no one caught this.
3) Tell Pat to quick dickin' around and FINISH BOOK 3!
EDIT: Doesn't matter which Pat, just pick one and make 'em write, dammit!

It's so delightfully weird to see Patrick Rothfuss, a genuine big, important contemporary writer, just goofing around playing zoom games, and being so good at it. Imagine walking into a salon in 1840s and seeing Edgar Allan Poe just crushing everyone at parlor games.

I know there's no 'right' way to play a game like this. But as someone who has played and watched Fiasco many times, the writers room approach was so alien to me. I'm more used to establishing just being where and who, then improv driving the scene.

The -Let's Not- card is such a great idea for getting people into these games who would usually be too shy, or who just get uncomfortable when something comes up. I love it. I hope more of these types of games implement something like that.

49: 38 I think this entire mall was secretly set up just to keep Beni alive. Just to give him somewhere to be and something to do. The moon base and all the shops and stuff, that's a side thing, that's a bonus.

Maybe I'm the only one who's watched every overboard enough times to have seen this, but Dustin is 100% the continuation of Patrick's stoner cashier from the Spyfall episode with Matt Mercer

I can't tell if simone just pulled out the name Jeff for the Slackers manager and it got coerced into Bezos, or it was intentional and Jenna picked it, But either way its brilliant

As someone who got the Gold Medal of Achievement, I am so glad that someone mentioned Royal Rangers. Nobody else seems to know about it and I am glad somebody at polygon does.

The implication that in this universe people live on the moon, and the regional chain of used disc stores Slackers exists AND made it to the moon, but Radio Shack does not

Who else thinks they should actually turn this into an actual movie? I know some people who would love to help with that and are amazing at videography: corridor digital

Awwwwesome RP, I would definitely pay for a subscription to this. The only thing is I dont think Josh is that good or funny, he's kind of a poor fit for Polygon

Empire Records x Heathers x Good Omens?
(Or Mallrats through the lens of Dogma - but that feels like it's missing the 80's-style dark-teen-comedy)

I love Overboard RPGs, but damn, I didn't expect to get this invested in Tweedy and Dustin's relationship, let alone the whole story! Y'all did amazing.

Senor Cardgage was a delightful deep cut and it was hilarious to see Pat R. play an homage to such a weird weird character. Kudos.
