Finally beat the game on Hardcore on Leons run. i managed to get 2: 03: 19. Unfort I saved 6 times. There are places that I don't feel very confident, nor comfortable going into without saving. So, I did save just before the first BIRKIN boss - 00: 25: 24 I think that is a very good time, for someone who's not great at speed running, but after watching plenty of videos and seeing where to go and what to pick up. to me I think I did well. I tend to overwrite saves. But, I still have this save - 25mins still loaded into my first save spot, so technically i can go back and replay from there to see if I can get myself and S+. But, I don't think I'll be able to actually get myself the S+. The sewers where you have dodge those turds while heading to the flamethrower and then back is one of the hardspots for me, and the 2 lickers in the lab, is another hard spot for me. So, I would save when I was fully loaded, and health wise in great condition. I'm mostly just going after trophies, since I've been an achievement hunter on the XBOX one. But, moved over to the PS4 platform. I did see a video of someone using this thing which I never heard about called -SAVE WIZARD-. I had no idea something like this existed till I saw the video like 3 to 4 days ago. I guess all you do is load your save file to a 'USB' drive, insert into computer and then use the 'Save Wizard', and or 'Xploder' to edit your save file with whatever you'd like to be unlocked, save the 'save file' and then reinsert into PS4, move over that edited save file, and boom, you got thinks unlocked. To, me that defeats the purpose of gaming. But, I can understand if your having a super hard time, I don't plan on doing this. My 'S' rank is fine for me, I'm happy, and I got my trophy. That's all i care about. But, I'am wondering if you do edit a save file and unlock certain things, when you insert that save file back onto the PS4, I wonder if trophies will pop for you, since it's going to see you managed to complete something. hmmm. I played the Original RE 2 it's one of my favorites in the series besides 3 nemesis i got to hand it to Capcom they really out did the Original far and beyond my expectations i still managed to out smart Mr. X exactly like i did in my first time playing the OG RE2 can't wait to see what they do with Nemesis that will be something for all who enjoy this Remake.
Mr. X never got the chance to give it to ME! I gave it to him in the end.

A tip for anyone going through this (I learned it by accident):
If you stand behind the bookcase that falls over when the C4 goes off, it doesn't fall over, so you won't have to pick it up. Saves a tiny bit of time.
Great job, by the way. I'm working on my standard run now, and this is definitely helping me, especially with getting a fair idea as to where my timer should be at any given time.

I see people leaving tips on how to shave off a couple seconds here and there, and havent seen anyone else mention it yet (unless its really deep, then I apologize. You dont have to move each individual bookshelf. If you push the one closest to the wall all the way to the right (after using the jack) all the bookcases will move.

if people are trying to get a fast time but keep dying then here is a tip.
load the auto save then load it again. that will revert the time back to what it originally was at the time of that auto save.
if you only load the auto save once then the time will be the same as when you died

You could have shaved some time off here and probably completed in under 2 hours as this pace. You did a lot of unnecessary running around in some areas, at least in my opinion.
In any case, great playthrough and thanks for the video. I learned a lot!

You can combine items in the storage box menu (you don't have to leave the box menu to combine stuff that you take out of your box) by just pressing square and placing the combinable items over each other, then pressing X. So much faster.

LOL when you're watching a speed run, you kinda just assume the player knows the puzzle solutions, as opposed to fumbling about with them. I'm expecting the optimized puzzle solutions and start following the numerous errors haha

When you blowing up the wall with the c4 and the bookcase falls if you just plant the c4 and run outside and stand there till it blows up you dont gotta worry bout lifting the case good for when mr x is on your ass

Thank you your guide was very helpful. I ran out of ammo on the last form of Birkin used my grenades then he went into his crawling stage then ran out of grenades I ended up killing him with the knife lol.

Ammo is bloody scarce on this. So are healing items, especially later in the game. I-ve been fooled into thinking I-ve plenty of both only to try and tackle a later boss/level with next to nothing

I beat the game on easy, no healing items, no item box, 10500 steps, 1 hour 45 minutes, no saves, no deaths, I recommand IFreeMz video for this, helped me a lot

Watch the video while playing it at the same time, following your lead. I've made it but in 2: 56, but I saved and died 4 or 5 time. Still got the S rank thanks mate!

What a sprinter. Nice marathon. Too much stress for me tho. Easier to pay $4 and get infinitive ammo is secs and walk it through on easy lvl nice and slow lol

This may have been buried in the comments by now but they never use the high powered (magnum) rounds so no need to keep them in inventory like in the video.

Those oriental zombies takes more bullets to kill on head shots than a black or white zombie all through the game. Must be something in the noodles they eat.

Does the infinite ammo pistol affect S+ i beat it in 2 1/2 to get the S but I-ve read reports that say you can-t use it but they-re not concrete about it

I ended up finishing my S run through in 2 hours and 28 minutes. A bit close, but the samurai edge you get is really nice
