For people who might be confused, two things I wished the video would have explained, make sure your traps are level four, because you can catch all the animals with those traps, also, make sure when you look at your encyclopedia, scroll to the animal, and there should be a big picture of the animal on the right and a little picture on the left. The left picture just means you've encountered the animal but haven't caught it, the big picture on the right means you've caught the animal.

If anyone is trying this in 2022, I can confirm that the landing zone south of Mfinda Oilfield as Glacier mentions works. BlazingLadyy also mentions to place them at the front wheels of the chopper. This worked for me. Took around 10 tries at the location, but later tried placing them the cages near the front wheels, and then it only took 2 tries. I'm finally done!

After reading through the comments I was afraid that I would need several tries until I got lucky to catch the animals. But I was actually so lucky that I caught each of them on first try except for one which I found on second try. Right now I am only missing the animals that I have to catch in missions. Will have to unlock those missions first.

Awful guide, most of these spots barely work (if they even work the slighest, I had to switch to other guides. Other guides gave me 8 of the one in first attempt of the one 8 attempts here didnt even give 1 off, not even 1 with this fuking guide, wasted many hours, find somewhere else to get information about this.

came back to the game to finish some trophies i have left in the past and one of those was this one. how is it posible to get every rare and ultra rare animal on the first try on quantities of 4 or 8 but the uncomon animals need 20 plus tries just to get 1.

I know this is years late, but there's a good spot for leopard tortoise just outside kiziba camp at the two little houses. I think it's the houses where they hold the viscount in Lingua Franca. But put your traps in the trees to the left of those houses

I just captured the Leopard Tortoise after trying this location a million times! I placed the cages along the cliff side that Snake climbs up in the first Africa mission, and got it in two tries! I-ve now 100% completed the game!

Went to Red Fox place and got:
[Leopard Gecko] x 1
[Bechsteins Bat] x 2
[Red Fox] x 3
[Deathstalker] x 1
[Gerbil] x 1
All apart from Gerbil were new for me so reccomend you go Red Fox place 1st

I had this idea to use the infinity bandana and place as many as I could each time but it still maxes out at 8 even though it says infinity

Just a note: super rare animals are really easy to catch, and common and uncommon animals are a pain in the ass to catch
