I know, it breaks my heart too. But you just have to realize more and more people are doing this and more and more dogs are being saved. My mom is Turkish, and when we used to go there for vaca 10 years ago, stray dogs were ignored and had no real rescue options, but now even in Turkey you see people with dogs on a leash, dog accessory stores, rescue shelters, rehab shelters, and vets. There is hope, & it gets better every day.

Being a vet, I would think you would know that removing the partial leg would exponentially raise her quality of life. I didn't believe it either, but I've seen it make all the difference. I know it's a hard decision, but you need to look into it. There are videos proving that's true. Maybe that's not best for pearl, but I doubt it

In the video they say that the vets from the slaughterhouse-survivors are not optimistic but in the post they showed on screen it said that they are NOT CONCERNED because there is NOTHING ABNOMRAL and she is eating WELL and it should be OK! Why do you guys feel the need to lie just to make it more dramatic!

From a meat truck in China, to New York City, and many places in between. That poor girl has been through so much! But she has had a star in her aura looking out for her every step of the way. Many human angels who we can't thank enough. She deserves the best life, and I think she's having it. ..

As the owner of 2 french bulldogs, Pearl's story made me cry. Poor pup! I am so thankful that she was saved just in time. Pearl has so much love to give. The dogmeat industry must stop. Dogs are our friends. They were bred to keep us safe and/or to be our companions.

Glad this gorgeous dog was rescued. However it is beyond me the cruelty inflicted upon these dogs and still used for meat to this day! Regardless of culture the level of contribution dogs offer to society in support of people is a clear indication you don't eat them.

i have a lot of cats at work i'm trying to tnr most were born here. but i can't afford to pay for their spaying. are their any programs to help with this. catching them on a certain day each month for the humane society is hard to do

I think it’s great that they are saving lives, but there are so many animals are killed in shelters in the United States that need to be adopted. I think we need to look at those shelters before we go to other countries.

One dog at a time as long as we rescue rather than go to breeders, and fix dogs for free we will get them all homes and severe penalties for abuse!

I missed the chance to meet these dogs by 3 years. Still super happy they found forever homes by now so I can't be that sad about it.
