If you are wondering whats going on here, the gators are actually getting cool in the mud. Like many other large animals with not many options or limited water around at the moment, they will often find cool mud puddles to dig and roll in. Chances are, especially if they are that hot, food was the last thing on those gators minds, which is why they simply ignored the calf for now. It even seemed like they were deliberately avoiding the calf out of lack of interest. With that amount of gators, there is no way at least one didnt notice the calf, it was just not their priority at the moment. They were probably extremely hot.
Also, on another note, for everyone probably saying, How cruel for them to pull the calf by its ears like that! Would you rather sit and wait to be ripped apart or have someone pull you by your hair to save you Idk about you, but I take the pain to be alive over being picky of the way Im saved and getting eaten.
Ps. Though I agree pulling the cows tail seemed unnecessarily rough, Im pretty sure it died anyways. Not only is it heavily malnourished, but depending on the length of time it was laying dormant, the health issues that were probably developed would kill it. There is a reason why cows dont lay down for long periods like that. And again, it looked like it was starving to death anyways.

Finally people are opening their eyes! I fully support the kindhearted people who honestly try their best to help animals, but I'm sick of this kind of videos 'allegedly' rescuing animals. Many of them are precisely the ones who are hurting them, causing extreme pain to them and in some cases even ending up killing them, only to properly 'prepare' them for their fabricated rescue show in front of the camera. Such vicious people systematically take advantage of your good heart to get millions of views and make tons of money at the expense of animals lives. All with the help of non-existent animal protection laws in their countries. Disgusting!

I have seen things about this being fake and I believe them because it does not make sense by why are things like alligators, sharks, snakes, and crocodiles always have to be like the bad guy, they are just trying to get food and if you look at it the water is drying out so they are dying as well, and they are also stuck.

If the calf would be mine or another man’s, I would try to save it, but if some kind of wild animal would be stuck in the mud among alligators, I would not interfere. I would let nature take its course, because alligators need food, and I love alligators just as much as any other wild animal.

Never pull an animal by the tail! The tail is an extension of the spine. There are a lot of nerve endings there. A person can easily damage the vertebral column, in which case the animal will remain paralyzed.
