Their never-ending scratching and running above my head was nerve-wracking. The roofers didnt want to do any additional work til the coons were gone.
Several thousand dollars later, I found a rat poison on Amazon that worked amazing.
Initially, I didnt want them harmed. However, after about a month of sleepless nights, unbelievable amounts of damage and bills that made me want to cry, I would have gladly strangled each and every coon by hand.

When life presents you with an opportunity to mess around with some wild animal that's the coolest thing that can happen. I don't think this is the right message to spread because you really shouldn't mess around with wild animals at all. However, I'm glad you came to understand that taking this animal out of the wild and making it a pet was not the right choice, and I hope you continue to love the racoons and protect them in their natural home.

I was camping in Washington State at Louis and Clark state park one time. I learned quickly not to put my groceries on the table. Fattest raccoon I've ever seen. It had to have weighed 70 lbs. Would have made a good hat. He's lucky that he was protected. You'd think it was a gang of intoxicated teenagers that got into your groceries Carmen the Coon. That's what I named it. Fat bd.

Wow! I love the relationship here. They are a terrific trio. The human, the raccoon mom and the raccoon kid. I love raccoons and used to feed them so l know what an honor it is when mama brings her kid(s. It's also great that his dad helped him to build the perfect home for Larry and her kit. When the kids grow they often go on their own. I hope we will get updates on this interesting family.

I love Raccoons. I have a few that come around and share food with the feral cats I take care of. There’s one cat named Smokey he was born during the Napa fires that really gets along with the Raccoons. At any rate most Raccoons at first will run away when they see you but after awhile they just hang out and become pretty friendly.

I like the psychiatric help 5 cents aint that the truth I have raccoons that I have been feeding Two years They're in the woods near where I go to a store. I just started throwing them some food one day and it become a habit Then they started getting names and started coming to their names the correct one pretty funny.

I once killed a Larry while driving. Jumped straight upon the road and started running in front of my car while I was doing 90mph. Couldn t avoid the pucker sadly.

Only abused racoon gets aggressive which is because of people bothering them so much or in big cities where they starve they try to take the kids lunch bags cause kids are small! So cute

Yep, I had the same thing with a wild turkey for almost two years. a male. we a really cool bond. Then he disappeared, maybe looking for a mate one season, or could of been killed by hunters.

Same thing happened to me 4 years ago and now I have 5 or 6 raccoons that come every night, multiple times, it's a lot of work lol. They are fun to watch and interact with tho

Raccoons can make good pets but best to get them when they are young. They do tend to leave when they get a bit older though. Not always but a lot of times
