Rooster Sprints To His Wife Every Single Morning There are a lot of romantics in the comments section but honestly, roosters are like most guys and all the chivalry is a means to an end. I used to keep chickens and so have seen this personally. Our rooster was called Roger and if, for example, you gave him half a grape, he would rush over to one of the girls with it. Then as soon as she had eaten it, he would jump her bones. He was extremely protective of chicks and could be a bit of a pain in the bum around that time, although he was just as likely to accidentally stomp on them whilst protecting them. The best thing about having a rooster is that you dont get the top hen acting as rooster anymore. You dont have a rooster, you will get a very aggressive lead hen, who acts just like a rooster, including jumping on other hens in an impression of mating to assert her dominance. They can get really mean to the lowest hens in the hierarchy. The rooster tends to sort this out.

Isn't that the sweetest. ever. and I so love how in all his anxiously waiting excitement, he's popping up to look in the window at her. so very sweet. he's smitten to be sure. she just takes all the attention in stride. so glad they were brought together. Godspeed, long healthy, happy life to them, and family, and may they always be together.

The behaviour Steve shows when letting Margaret eat first is called 'tidbitting. ' A cockerel will make that noise to call the rest of the flock over to come eat, picking up and dropping the best bits of food to show them where they are. Mother hens will do the same thing for their chicks.

Birds are so funny and special. All the rituals between the same species are mesmerising. I can't wait to see them bussy with the nest. We have all kind of birds here, also tropical who adapted to the climate, they found a partner now, I'm exited to see the new borns!

This is really sweet. Bird mates probably are the most old school gentlemen of the animal realm ever, the dances, the building, the protection, etc lol those are some lucky chicks literally
reply

As a chicken owner, this is normal chicken behavior. All roosters act like this. The only thing that’s weird is why you have a rooster sleeping in your bed. That’s pretty nasty.
reply

And the first thing he does is peck her on the head. Ahhh, true love! LOL
Seriously people, this is purely a conditional response based on animal instincts and hormones.

reply

These people are amazing, saving an animal like that and making sure they get to enjoy loving each other. WHY can't the whole world just be like this
reply

LOL, there's a reason he's so happy, and I notice they cut the video right before you would see why.
If you've ever owned chickens. you know.

reply

that’s not fear, you just recorded that where is the chaca chaca time! because we know chickens are like humans boom boom when you can.
reply

Nonsense, I’ve reared chickens the rooster was just looking to mount, and get that thing out of the house or you’ll be cleaning up the poop.
reply

Why TF do you keep them apart
Just let them live the rest of their lives together.
It just seems cruel to keep them apart.

reply

One of the best most heart felt enchanting relationships I’ve had the privilege of seeing. It’s impact has changed me.

We had roosters before, they all stayed together.

I love this! How we underestimate the capacity of other animals for loyalty, devotion, kindness, goodness.
reply

Why does the female sleep outdoor jn the cold but the male sleeps in doors with the heat

Do chickens experience love
I know mammals like dogs, cats, and even cows do, but do birds
