I don't know why they let this poor dog get through labour.
My dog got her fetuses removed during her surgery (she got neutered during that process. She was a street dog and probably wouldn't have survived giving birth.
I really don't get why this poor dog had to suffer.

aww I can’t believe the senior mama did it! It makes sense that she would have trouble recovering since she delivered them so late in her life. I’m glad this story has a happy ending and I’m sure the last puppy has been adopted by now!

Poor thing was probably from a mill and dumped because she was older and less likely to have more puppies. Not surprised she had a tough time, if she had litter after litter. Glad she can just focus on herself now

7 to 8 isn't well past her time for having babies. 10 years old is. 7 to 8 isn't that old for a bigger dog. 9 years is considered the stopping point.
Also, she looks older than 7 or 8 to be honest.

Maybe get the Mama dog spayed before going to her new home. A 7 or 8 year old pregnant dog is equivalent to a 50-60 year old human. No wonder she wasn’t producing any milk, she just had enough.

I would have needed to keep her. She is too old to keep passing around and i woukd want to ensure that that last days of her life, would be the best! Exactly what she deserves!

Was the dog pregnant before she came to you Are you going to breed these pups or have them fixed before they can breed There's a lot of good dogs out there that need a home first.

I’ll be the devil’s advocate here. Allowing a 7 or 8 year old dog to get pregnant where her life (and the life of the puppies) is in danger, is irresponsible.
