Couple Falls In Love With Wingless Bumblebee Oh. What a very beautiful story and, thank you so much for caring/loving little Ruby. RIP Ruby. Theres an abundance of everlasting flowers where you are now. I love Bumblebees a whole lot; they always alert me during the Spring letting me know that the Hummingbirds are on their way to me. I like keeping their favorite flowers out for each of them. Bee Balms. One day I had noticed one of my cats was eyeing something in the corner of the house. Turns out it was a Bumblebee. My cat did not try to chase it like he would most insects. I was able to gently scoop her up and release her back in the yard. So sweet: ) Thank you again for the upload.

I did something similar with a ladybug. It was in my apartment window in the beginning of Fall. I kept it all winter in a terrarium made a cover with some mesh netting. I fed it raisins, honey, and put small drops of water in a soda cap. It stayed alive till spring then I put it back outside and it was sad to let it go so I can image how hard it was to have the bee pass away. I always put bugs back outside when it's warm out it was starting to get cold out, so I wanted to give it more time to live. I'm a believer that every living thing has a soul.

I just saw swome research on bumblebee intelligence & the researchers realised the bees like to play the way a mammal would. The research consisted of rolling balls into specific areas to get sugar water & long story short the bees enjoy playing with balls for 0 reward, so much so they seeked out rooms with the balls. So yeh, this bee here also felt happy with them for sure as any animal that enjoys play is capable of VERY advanced emotions.

I did a baby bee rescue once. It had gotten stuck in the window and ran out of juice. After sucking up a couple of dandelions it flew up and came back towards me as if to say thank you and then flew off. The 2nd bee rescue that day, he just flew off without a thank you. I guess I never thought much about insects having personalities until then. This bee is adorable.

i just found a teeny baby spider on my dinner table, to i picked him up and placed him on a large leaf, and he immediately made a little teeny web, and he just caught a teeny little mite to eat,
i named him mariah after mariah carrey cause it’s christmas, and he’s a daddy long-legs, i know his mother, she’s lived in our house for years catching bugs for us

My daughter has pet beetles. One passed away last night. I showed her this video, and she became a bit teary-eyed again, but it was also nice for her to see other people caring about and caring for insects like she does. This was a nice reminder for her that, just like Ruby, her little Eddie had a comfortable, safe life.

I love that this video came up! and that you saved the bee! One of my happiest joys in life is going to our local garden center and see the big bees like this one and watch them and hear them make funny noises when they go into the flowers, its too cute and I just cant stop smiling when they do it! Thank you for this!

I love seeing someone else care for all life on planet unconditionally. After all bumblebees are so important along with honey bees. This little guy could’ve died right there with no one caring or batting an eye, instead, you made it as happy and comfortable as it could be. Thank you: )

This is the second story that I’ve seen of someone looking after a wingless bee. And both stories are just as heartwarming as each other. Ruby was very lucky and happy right to the end. I couldn’t imagine her being safer and more loved anywhere else. Beautiful story!

Fun fact: bees do have a memory span (of 3 days, I think) and can recognize faces. So she did in fact recognize her humans and could differentiate them from others. She had the best life possible in the situation she was found in. I am very proud of these people

I’m not 100% sure, but I think that bee is not female. I think that’s a male bee. I saw a video before where if a male bee wants to mate with a queen, he enters the hive, and the drones will chew off his wings before he can meet the queen.

I'm close to tears. What an absolutely beautiful thing. Such a unique and amazingly special relationship to have experienced. Well done sweetheart. You truly are a lovely soul. Sending love and best wishes from Nottingham, England. XX

Theres another story about a woman and a queen bumblebee which she too cared for for many days. And like this one she was slowing down then passed away and her care taker buried her in her flower garden.

What beautiful people to have taken in this creature in need. This is such an amazing surreal story. There's so much beauty around us if we would just take the time to listen, to connect and to see.

What a beautiful experience! Nerd Q: are you sure it wasn't a male Males don't collect pollen on their legs and after mating they sometimes have their wings chewed off by the workers.

It is so very nice to see that there are others in this world that feel the exact same way I do about the most smallest of creatures, and yes I cried for her after she crossed the bridge!

Such amazing and hard working creatures! They gave that bee the best life it could've had with its situation! Now she's flying with her new wings in heaven

I think this is the true purpose of human beings: Using our inteligence and empathy to be keepers, guardians and caretakers of nature
reply

Thank you for caring for the smallest and weakest of creatures, and loving her! Animals just know, and they feel love too.
