Pregnant Dog Raises An Incredible Amount of Puppies Foster Diaries

(Just to explain, it was very difficult to tell when the dog’s were pregnant since gestation is only two months. Usually, by the time we figured out they were pregnant, they were nearing on two months already so it was almost impossible to accurately predict when they were due. We could make accurate guesses but most of the time, we weren’t right. And sometimes, they didn’t present much if at all, so if my mom didn’t see one of the males breeding them, we had no way of knowing at all until they would go into labor (that was more rare but it did happen, two of the three that fall were expected, but only one had been accurately predicted to be that close to term)

14 puppies. God dang the father of them puppies sure had some good magic genetics lol. I have never heard of a IRL dog had 14 puppies at once maybe what six or at least seven sometimes a few may not survive but 14 healthy puppies in one pregnancy talk about being the ultimate mama! Now sure 14 puppies from different letters but not 14 puppies in one sitting good Lord!

Wyatt's looking like he's going to grow up to foster puppies.
Also 14 puppies isn't THAT bad. My neighbor's Caucasian Shepherd had an oopsie litter with a German Shepherd. They're now looking for homes for the 17 ultimate guard dog puppies in a country with absolutely no room for guard dogs.

Blows my mind that people change the name of a grown animal. A kitten or puppy Absolutely it’s a place holder. But you can’t take a name from an adult dog that’s messed up. So entitled

We had a New Zealand Huntaway when I was growing up. She was beautiful. She had two litters. I think the first was 7 or 8 but the second. yep, she had 13! They were all soooo adorable.

Could you imagine as a human having given birth and nursing your baby while pushing out more babies. I dont know how dogs do it.

Zara really bounced back after that pregnancy too, she looks like she never even had puppies at the end. Such a good dog
