I’m glad they told the truth about what the colored antiseptic was. There was an annoying viral article a few years ago (quoting a California veterinarian) claiming a kitten was colored with fabric dye to be fed to pit bulls as a chew toy. It was nonsense. The kitten was colored in antiseptic spray. Someone had tried their best.

Thank you to this wonderful couple who went out of their way to help Blue. With open hearts they went out of their way. Thank you for rescuing this beautiful puppy. Feel bad for the mama and other pups. They will have to fight for their survival. But they got Blue. So I'm super grateful for their kindness.

Glad they took the pup to the vet, but for future reference, always go directly to vets don't try to do homecare and washing yourself. If you see blood or injury or illness, that's especially important. An hour or two can be a LOT of time for such a tiny body to circulate and worsen!

I wonder if the mama knew that her baby would be safe if she let the people take him and she would try to get herself and the rest of them help from someone else. She probably just wanted the one who was obviously hurt and scared to be safe even if that meant she had to give him up.

This is why I could never do the Foster Care for dogs. I would 100% take excellent care of them but never be able to give them up. Im a big sucker for dogs and a softie for big fluffy ones. I'd have to take on another full time job just to afford the kibble.

They said blue spray paint and I knew exactly what it was. It is an antiseptic I used to use on my horse's cuts, sores, and scratches. Looks like a purplish blue ink that stains your skin.
Someone just tried to treat his injury.

Not being judge-y, just saying i couldn't have left the rest of the pups and the mom. They are in peril, also. Turkey is known for its very humane treatment of dogs. I'd have taken the injured one to a vet and the family to a rescue.

U could have him take to vet at first: ( not after hours the more time he spend wounded or worse the worse to save his life to this cute puppy and other animals too, but I'm glad u did not leave that cute puppy there

10 days in a vet ER. Couldn't be the US. My cat spent one day, 24 hours, in a US vet ER outside Chicago, recieved glucose, one xray, one sonogram, and some meds - close to $5, 000. One day. Ten days. Not in the US.

Sometimes it’s easy to assume the worst, but clearly whoever sprayed the pup only had its best interests at heart. Sometimes we physically can’t take in or do as much as we’d like to do so we do what we CAN.

Most likely, he was marked with the blue paint for dog fighting. They spray paint them to differentiate the dogs. At the very least, it’s abuse spraying chemicals on an animal. Disgusting. Thanks for saving him.

I don't care how much it would have cost I would have rescued the whole family I couldn't just leave the rest of them out there and I would have kept the family of dogs as well

I'm sorry you couldn't keep him. I know it had to hurt to let him go. U did the right thing and u saved him. I wish all the others could've been saved, but one life at a time.

I actually know this kind of antiseptic spray/mixture. It reminds me of the industrial kind used on sheep or cows. So that dogs wounds are CLEAN. And always have been

Man my dog fell out of a car and scraped up his arm and face. 24 ER vet charged $800 to patch him up for the night. I can't imagine 10 days in a ER vet would cost.
