to me it doesnt really sound scientifically logical but i still wonder if this kind of personality is specific to black haired felines because my cat has been like that since a baby, she has toned down just a little bit recently. im guessing mostly because of my own personality (i'm too much of a depressed vegetable and dont engage as much as i should with her. or maybe because the entirety of the roots of her hair is ashy white and the entirety of the surface is black. still no matter of how opposites our energies and behaviours are, in my opinion this is the healthiest and favorite kind of animal. is just full of life. even if sometimes it gets a little exhausting to catch up with

odd behavior, they do this when scared and trying to look as big as they can towards the threat. looks funny though, only seen my cats do it like once. when one of them was a kitten i stood on all fours pretending to be a cat, that spooked the kitten and he went crab walking.

My cats always did that silly side jumping as kittens, but we never referred to it as the crabwalk. We called it the psycho sidewinder shuffle, and watching them do the sidewinder shuffle never EVER got old.
