im in the same position right now! my niece brought home a baby chick from their vacation & today ive been the one asigned in the fam to take care of it. ive been an animal lover, grew up being surrounded by chickens, dog, cats, birds but with fostering one i dont know how. the baby chicken is chirping the whole day, i tried feeding it w rice and bread and put it to sleep in myy blanket but it still chirps, how do i make it comfortable do you guys have any helpful tips on this one please help i would appreciate the comments alot.

My middle child was our very own chicken whisperer. Each of my kids had a barn to manage age appropriately.
She had the chicken barn. They worshipped her. She had them performing their own chicken circus on her cues.
She would pick the smartest ones to stay on their nest to hatch out chicks instead of eating those eggs. Those mom chickens were the best mothers. Very few losses of young because of her selection process.

Saw a heartless truck diver run over baby chicks that mother hen was trying to get them to cross the street with her - smashing two of them - mother hen trying to get them up after being smashed. It just makes me sick to see this truck driver was so fkg heartless all he had to do it wait a couple of minutes for them to get across that street safely BUT N0! DISGUSTING HEARTLESS FKG TRUCK DRIVER!

last year i saw thisvideo at around january and that time my rooster pet was with me and he actuallly looked like bree same white fluffy feathers all the other habits everything is so similar in a way, this year also around januarry yt recommeneded this video but the only change happend my pet is not anymore with me.

My daughter picked out a Leghorn chick, and everything online said they were temperamental and not friendly. Sprinkles is a lap chicken, loves car rides, loves sitting on your shoulder, cuddles (has sassed me for trying to end a cuddle, and will seek you out and follow you around. She's an absolute joy.

I'm so surprised that rescue centers had a chick! It's sad to realize chickens are very underrated. I myself have a flock of 6! 5 Salmon Faverolles and 1 black Australorp! They are my babies. All respect to her, moving out of a city for a chicken! Now that's a great person and that's a amazing bond.

I can relate. I had 3 little chickens. Their mother died early due to disease. Those 3 liked to climb on my shoulders, sometimes even head. Unfortunately they were killed by weasels. So many memories of them I have right now.

as I watch this five years have passed since this video was made and as roosters usually live 5 to 8 years he may be already gone but i can only hope that he had a good life!
