Dolphin JUMPS ON BOAT Good thing for the dolphin that people who knew what to do were close by and willing to act even if it meant jumping on someone elses boat. To be honest I would probably be one of those idiots who wouldnt know what to do or it would take me a while to actually realize its not getting back in the water by itself so gonna have to touch it. Its like snakes. The guy holding it saying it wont bite you just touch it and youre all creeped out not by it biting you but by what it would feel like that you dont want to.

All these people talking about how long it took to get the dolphin back in the water.
By its coloring/shape/size, it looked to be a common dolphin about 6-8 feet long. That means it most likely weighed somewhere in the 200-400 lb range. Deadlifting 300 lbs in a shape that's meant to be easily picked up isn't even something everyone can do. Now imagine deadlifting 300 lbs of wet, thrashing, slippery, and scared animal that's smooth all over, has no handholds, and doesn't even want to be touched.

Dolphin I want to see what is so special about these floating things these creatures always seem to be on. 5 seconds later. This sucks, everything is all hard and I sink to the bottom, like x50 gravity, and I'm can't breathe
reply

It was a good idea to put wet clothes on the dolphin, but you should never cover the blowhole because it needs to breath, you also never pour water over its blowhole, or it will drown
reply

Running out of time What the heck Dolphins breathe air, they can't suffocate without water like fish. Just make sure its skin doesn't dry out, and it can survive for hours/days.
reply

Took long to respond but then I understand the shock took a fee minutes for the guys to register what happened and save the dolphin. Thank you to these people

Comment sections never fail to entertain. People arguing whether dolphins are smarter than humans is probably proof that they are indeed.

There was NO rush to put him back. He wouldn't have Dried out this quickly. People panic and can't think.
These are mammals. Just like us.

This is the reason there are exclusion zones around cetaceans. Give them 300 metres. This is in some unregulated Caribbean country.

E foi dessa maneira que os animais dominaram o ambiente terrestres, pularam em barcos e se desse ruim os humanos ajudavam.
reply

In a way, it's funny that from the dolphin's perspective, he ended up in this air his friends always warned him about.
reply

It wasnt running out of time lol they are mammals not fish. The dolphin was just scared not in any real danger.

Those on this boat didn't make any effort to help, Kudos to the man from the other boat who made the first move

It's a damned good thing that dolphins don't wait this long when a shark attacks a human.
