2. If u realize having a dog is too much(get a plant first) surrender it to another carimg person or humane society or similar. Leaving them on the streets is heartbreaking and cruel.

How could anyone leave either of them. Just love the both of them, Howard is clearly a real house dog. Hartwarming to see how Francis came after Howard, these two are really a bonded pair. So sad they were parted. I have two rescue dogs and it would break their harts if they were seperated. Hope Howard and Francis will both find the greatest of homes. Thank you for doing what you did!

So, in other words, it took the dog a year to trust someone, and then you go and toss him away for the second time in his life, separated from his friend. You had a backyard, so the dog should have stayed with you.

Sorry to say this but for my opinion it will be better if they were not separated. It will be hard for Francis to adjust. It's like separating his hope.
