130-Pound Dog Gets His First Home Ever Adoption Day In my experience large/giant breeds have been better around kids/my nieces than the smaller breeds. My parents 150lb mastiff (RIP) was gentle with 2yr olds and knew exactly how to deal with them. Even my foster pitbull who jumped all over adults (out of excitement) wouldnt jump on the toddlers/kids and kept his cool. Of course, dogs vary as much as people when it comes to their look - it all comes down to their mentality/behavior

I grew up with St. Bernards and they are so loving. I am so glad he has a forever family. They are wonderful and the kids are so gentle with him. You could tell that the lady who was fostering Cosmo really loved him too. It would be so hard to foster a dog and have to give him or her up but they get them out of shelters and love them until they find their forever home and then helps another dog. I admire people who foster.

I see such beautiful dogs and cats needing adoption, so it bothers me when I see people wanting to get them from a puppy mill or breeder. Be like this lady and get a cute animal in need and give them lots of love and affection.

I have owned and bred from one of my Saints, if ever I threw a ball for her, she would watch it roll and then just smirk with a look of please! . just give me a beer! She did love the surf here in Australia though!

Every time you buy a puppy, think of Cosmo and millions of other dogs that are used for breeding, think of millions that get euthanized after breeders drop not up to the standards puppies at shelters and vets.

Drinking out of the toilet Gross. No. Please don't let him do this, keep the lid closed or bathroom door closed, give him water from the tap or hose.

For future large dog breed owners. Don't make your dog walk up and down the stairs their entire life. It's not good for their hips.
