Been feeding a stay that looks like her for the past 16 months. He still hisses at me. Started from feeding on the patio to now coming indoors through the patio doors and into the kitchen to eat. That's like 6ft from the patio door but I need to leave the door open so he can escape when he wants to. I got him 5 cat beds of various types place by the patio door and he has slept on them for several hours a few times. When I feed him I set up a buffet for him to choose from, Chicken/dry food/wet food/raw chicken/ tuna/treats. The cat still hisses at me. Told it was food stress.

My cat Creeper hates everyone except me.
She will not let anyone else on Earth touch her.
She also doesn't like it if people touch ME while she's present.
She hisses, but then she flies at them, all teeth and claws like the Tazmanian Devil.
Her mortal enemy or BBEG, if you will, is my mom, and she's sworn a blood oath to destroy her.

I have found with most animals that food makes them more friendly.
I used to catch the bus in the morning right by a fence that had a vicious guard dog behind it. I started feeding him beef jerky and he was friendly. I wasn't going to jump the fence but through the fence he loved eating.

As a pet sitter for over 35 years I can tell you that I've been hissed at by more cats than I can even remember. Sometimes they don't warm up no matter how much time and space you give them but when they do, it's a glorious feeling. This young lady is a good pet sitter.

I feel hissing is used very similar to cussing in cats. A few of those hisses are followed by her keeping her eyes half closed for a moment longer than expected, so I dunno, maybe she just takes to socialising Australian style.

Cutest hiss ever. She's always been super spicy! It's so amazing and beautiful when you can finally win a cat like that over. Quality time is her love language.

That’s just her personality. I have a jr cat that’s hissed since the day I rescued her as a baby. She earned her name Hissy. lol She hisses at everything.

I always tell new cat servants that much like politicians, cats are easily bribed. You just gotta find the bribe they want.
