Blind puppy learns to follow in his foster mom's footsteps watch how he learns to swim! Oh, you had to keep this precious pup! When I saw Charles sleeping on your head, I knew you were a goner! You two have a connection that few people really get to experience. It sounds like your other furbaby, Tasi, was your soulmate. How lucky you are to have found another! Not a replacement, of cource, but a new puppers that could nestle into your heart, right next to Tasi.
Here's hoping you and your family have many years of love and laughter with Charles!

So cool!
I'm having to say goodbye to my service puppy of 20 years old and we've been separated very few times c during b 13 years since I was blessed to adopt her!
Now, my Lil Girl isn't able to get around so well ( mom is in a wheelchair) she has a bad heart dementia and possibly a brain lesion! She is blind and deaf and tries her best to take care of me while I struggle to care for my friend!
We did a Quality of Life Assessment and it wasn't a good score! I will miss my little angel so much!
She is lying on my knee as every morning sleeping waiting for our ride to go bye bye to our adventure!

The footsteps I understand, the snuggling up around your head at night, I understand. The waking up at 5am ( for us as he can'tsee if its light) is hard.
I also have a Pug puppy who's completely blind that we rescued.
The snuggles and love in return are worth it all for all the kisses that are given out for all the bumped noses

This is the most precious thing! This dedicated mom, LOVES HER PUPPY! He is blind, but she still adores him! She is his eyes! Now She is teaching him to swim! If Olympic Champ Michael Phelps Seen Him He Would Be EXTREMELY DELIGHTED! What A Little Trooper! Thank You For Sharing His Amazing Story!

Even dogs with eyes have poor eye sight in comparison humans. Their sense of smell and hearing, on the other hand, is much better and consequently those are their primary tools for noticing and recognising others, so blindness wouldn't affect dogs as much as it affects humans.

Ok, Charles is just too stinkin CUTEI can’t stand it! I am sooo happy that he was a foster fail the boys seem so attached to him and he isn’t definitely attached to all of you! He now has a loving forever home and what more does any of us ever need, than that!

Probably now the other senses are strong together when one sense is out of use, at least it is said that the so-called sixth sense works in blind people, i think it works in dogs too, my condolences on your dog's passing but fortunately the memories remain

You are a wonderful human with a fantastic dog. Maybe your dog before, sent him to you to help heal your heart and continue to give all that love and understanding you have to one who needs it. I can’t imagine a better mom for this lovebug

The unconditional love goes both ways in this relationship with Charles the pup and his new family Charles didn't replace the heart dog you had lost, he just added another layer of Love to your Heart and Soul

Thank you for keeping the sweet puppy and watching him grow and learn along the way. He is such a sweet and amazing dog. You did the right thing. Foster fails are great. What a heartwarming story

Thank you for the update, The Dodo! The beautiful bond between a great foster mom and her visually impaired pup is truly touching, showcasing the power of unconditional love and trust!

He's not blind. The world may see him as blind, but he 'sees' you with his ears & heart. And you are his world, so that's all that matters.

Not all great stories need a SURPRISE ending. I think most of us expected Charles to stay. He is the perfect fit for this family!

I love a great foster fail story. I mean, fostering is important but sometimes, it's ok if the two find that special, unbreakable bond.

A heartwarming foster fail, there are compassionate people unlike governor cruella de noem running a kill shelter in South Dakota

Dear Dear seeing eye person, He is great who stoops to help a child or a beast I see in this video clearly a great woman.

Given that there are guide dogs for blind humans, wouldn't the correct term be guide human when the roles are reversed
reply

Foster fails are best in disabled dogs. Charles would have to learn new surroundings and footsteps of new owners
