When are we going to put laws into effect that would make it illegal to breed this type of dog breed! They have such a bad name due to horrible owners. It’s next to impossible for them to be adopted! In reality ALL breeding of dogs and cats should be banned until we get this population under control. Most of these dogs are used to make lazy people a living by breeding and selling. I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t bred for money and then dumped off and one of her babies remained with the previous owner for more money making breeding! Stop breeding animals because you are probably too lazy to work!

If it were me, I would get the shelter or vet to see if she's microchipped, I would then confront the previous owner. Or, take pix of her and put an announcement in the local paper and shame this guy locally. Social Media is getting the word out for the whole world to see is a great way to reach as many people as possible. Thank you.

I cannot understand how people can think that their pet is disposable. Believe it or not but animals have feelings just like humans. Dogs don't understand why their people leave them. I could never think of my dogs as disposable. SHAME ON THE PERSON WHO DUMPED THIS WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL. Thank you for giving her a better life.

Plz seriously consider donating to local animal shelters and rescue centers in your area. They do much needed life-saving work but need each viewers' help to continue and every cent to these animals is a matter of life and deth. Hope or anger alone don't help feed or house animals in need, like Maya.

When that dog bites your face off, you’ll know why it was abandoned. Ok Don’t judge! It happened to a toddler friend of mines baby. He is scared for life. I believe they requested the dog be put to sleep. There was a lawsuit or something. The owner and the momma were friends before the incident.

Her breed is so misunderstood. She is such a beautiful soul and she found parents with a beautiful soul too. I have a little 23-year-old poodle and I know it’s going to be very hard when I lose her, but I will always have a dog and I will rescue a dog.

There is a special place in hell waiting for anyone who would do this to an animal, especially a dog who relies on you being loyal back to them. Oh my god this makes me sick to my stomach knowing that people like this are out there. I'm so glad he was rescued

I love how he says, I’m glad Maya chose us. And they even have booties on her feet to protect her paws. The day Maya was abandoned ended up being the best day of her life to be freed up for a better life.

Wish I could convince my dad not all pitties are bad. I have had 3 now over 14 years and they are amazing animals. Our recent rescue has been the best pup. Shes amazing with her 4 year old.

I am always worried that a Pittie would suddenly snap out of the blue and get me. I ve seen so many stories of good Pittie owners getting seriously injured/killed because of that.

Love the fact that you put 'booties' on her for her long walks to protect her paws as well. She really is blessed to have such loving 'parents' to take care of her now! Well done!
