It took a year for this rescue dog to stop flinching away from her foster mom. and it was SO worth it. I work with dogs and sometimes we get abused dogs at our daycare as emergency fosters (we also do boarding) and it fills my soul with eternal pain knowing someone could abuse an animal, a pet even. We had one dog that was abused and had bad separation anxiety and when I came back from my lunch he ran up to me and bit down on my jacket sleeve hard and closed his eyes and started whimpering and that’s when it hit me, I spent the last 30min before my break hugging and petting him and that’s the most love he got since he came to us (literally 30min prior to that) and he didn’t want me to leave, never in my life was it harder to leave work

Having had several dogs, cats, and ferrets over the years that suffered horrifying abuse, I know the patience and love it takes to bring them out of that shell. It’s the most heartbreaking thing, watching the embodiment of pure love, be afraid. Thank whatever God is, for saving this little love bug, and to her kind foster Mama. You made her world better through your love, patience, and guidance, and that is no easy feat, but so very worth it

I can't imagine the trauma she must have experience before being rescued. The patience and gentleness of this foster mom was just so amazing. I hope the new owners are aware of her backgroundm. I would hate to think of all the progress this sweetie has made being destroyed if the new owners inadvertently did something to trigger her PTSD.
I wish her and her new family many years of happiness!

Watching her do zoomies with such joy brought me to tears, and then when she initiated playing with her human mom, well that just opened my heart to capacity! It fills my heart to see so many people responding to the animal kingdom with so much love and compassion! I think much of the human race is evolving into the true expression of what we truly are. expressions of

I live rural. t took me 8 months to get my rescue to walk around the block. He had been abused by his own pack and previous owners.
He was terrified of all other dogs. and people.
Our big breakthrough came when I got him a senior emotional support cat.
Tons of love and patience but were making progress every day.

According to others, I am a kind, mild-mannered person, but seeing this brings out the worst in me! How I'd love a few minutes alone with the monster who did this. Just them, me, and the heaviest pair of boots that I could wear.
Thank goodness for angels like this foster who can draw a defeated animal back from the brink.

This poor little girl. She's so scared. It breaks my heart when she was shaking. Thank you so much for working with her. She's such a beautiful little fur baby! I can't stand animal abusers and neglect. NO dog should ever be afraid of a human being! What a cutie!

Mable is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s so heartbreaking to see her so fearful. Her foster mom is an absolute angel for being so loving and patient with her. I want Mable to get her happily ever after with her furever family, and I want her to know that she is loved.

Mables is a scared puppy! She was afraid, abused, and treated bad in her life! Her foster mom had to give her time! She will eventually come around! So Mables let her mom, pet her and that was the TRICK! Now Mables is at home, with her forever family! Thank You!

Dogs are so emotional. i wonder what it really takes for a dog to end up like this. were they beaten Were they kept n a kennel. maybe it dont take too much to have them turn out like this. its not hatd to show kindness but some people dont get it. pisses me off!

Don't want to imagine what she went through to be shaking this badly at the beginning. Some people are just evil. If you do not like animals, don't get a pet. Why get them just to abuse them Makes me sad and angry to see cats, dogs, and other animals abused

It's always so beautiful when the Lord Deems fit
To save
puppy such as this, but what are dogs to us
They're gifts from God.
And should be treated as such
We should have much stronger laws against animal cruelty.

This is such a heartbreaker. Character is how you treat the powerless and voiceless, whether human or animal. I am so grateful for those who are of good and loving character who step when there have been those who are not. Blessings!

We adopted one of those. Took her a year and a half of hard work, lots of growling when she was uncomfortable, and now she's a lovey-dovey. Sad what people do to animals. Great video and very encouraging for others.

Thank you for the update, The Dodo! The sweet moment between rescued pup and mom brings warmth to the heart, reminding us all of the love and patience that can heal even the most hurt souls. Keep loving and caring!

Who could hurt this poor soul She has one of the most expressive faces I've seen in a dog. To see the fear and pain slowly fade from her eyes must have been so rewarding. Foster parents are incredible people!

Oh my goodness, what has this beautiful fur baby been thru to be so scared, it breaks my heart to see this animal suffer. Thank you so much for the patience and calm you had, I just wanted to cry.

We've had our dog for four years now. He was only five months old when we got him from a shelter. He still flinches when you touch his shoulders. I can't imagine what he went through before we got him.

I weep to think just how horrendous her life must have been before her rescue. She looked like she knew that she was going to be beaten no matter what she did. Thank you for showing and giving her love.
reply

I hope she adopts her because I have a feeling that this is going to start all over when she gets adopted. With a dog that afraid, I don't think that they should be moving from house to house
