how are you going to release them after getting so close to them. they are going to be in a terrible bind when released into the wild. If possible, you should just take care of them permanently after getting so close to them. I really dislike this idea so many people have that a wild animal raised among humans will always be better off in the wild. That might be true for some animals, but I really don't think thats true for all species or individuals. For example an eagle you raise in captivity will almost certainly be able to fend for itself once released, and it might even be more comfortable away from the people who cared for it. But for animals that bond with the person who raised them. i really wonder whether that is the best choice.

If you let them go they might be the next road disaster. If it seems they don't want to go, take them home, because first impressions are so important to all of us (animals - that is) and your home will always be home to them. The wild is a cold and dangerous place.

We all want our kids to grow up and be safe, HAPPY, and independent. Doesn't matter if they are humans, wombats, or otherwise. Bittersweet indeed. Happy Father's Day to all of my fellow dads out there!

Is it actually safe to release them. Genuinely curious it seems like they won’t know how to protect themselves from predators or scavenge for food since they didn’t have their mamas to teach them.

I’m pretty sure he didn’t give birth to them. It’s ok to claim you’re a pet dad but it’s not on par with raising a healthy well adjusted child.

If I ever see on the side of the road I will assume I've accidentally driven into the zoo because I'm in North America lol
