When will people realize that their actions are what train their dog to act the way it does
The reaction they give Kobe every time he steals something is what the dog wants, so they have unintentionally trained Kobe to keep doing that by reinforcing his behavior. Literally any behavior that an animal does that is not animal-like is because they were trained that way, whether it was inentional or unintentional by the human owner.
That is why most small dogs (chihuahuas especially) bark incessantly, because as soon as the dog starts barking the owner picks it up and pets it saying don't bark or be quiet. Dogs dont understand English (because they are a dog and can't process complex thoughts) so what they see is every time they start barking, my owner pets me because I'm a good boy, so I should keep doing what I was just doing to get more pets and affection. I don't understand how only maybe 1% of dog owners actually understand this simple concept that dogs don't understand English and they don't think like humans because they are dogs, so stop treating them like humans because you're only training them to have many unintentional bad habits like this family is doing!

Seriously. Why are you letting this happen This dog needs to be told, end off. When humans start thinking things are funny and let this slip, there is a danger things will go wrong. Firstly dogs are pack animals, the leader of the pack tells all to know their place. This pack has no leadership, lazy people thinking this is funny. This dog need to understand that baby is above that dog. If this is not corrected it can end up horribly wrong, the dog may end up biting the child. Really dislike lazy people who do not get how dogs work. If you cannot deal with this then do not have a dog and no, it is not funny it is really dangerous and needs to be stopped period. The dog is a dog, not a 'sister', it is a dog, not a baby. Lazy people create dangerous dogs. That dog should not under no circumstance take anything from that baby, end off. x

What happens when he is no longer able to do this to her, to get that positive attention What will his reaction be Do you think he is going to just stop Remember, this is not a person. No matter how well behaved or how much you project human-like behavior onto him, he is an animal. They will revert to instinct when stressed.

This was one of the worst dog mom's I have ever witnessed. You are literally encouraging his actions. You need to discipline him when he missed behaves. Dogs need to respect you when your dog misbehaves. You need to let them know that you've misbehaved. You need to change your tone of voice. Change your body language. Do things that indicate to the dog that he's done something bad. You don't need to physically harm your dog. But you need to Express to your dog that he has made a mistake. Otherwise you are just encouraging the behavior.

Ok it can be cute and is cute the first few times. Kobe is looking for the attention he had before the baby came. You need to find a way to reassure him that he is still loved, when you’re playing with the baby throw a toy for him. Or the craziest idea yet, use the hand you use to hold your phone to give him pets. He obviously is being extremely gentle, I wouldn’t want to chance it escalating. Who knows maybe after you stop recording you do correct the behaviour. Both cute though: )

That’s not unusual, and it looks like this good boy was doing it before the baby arrived. My mother has a friend with a golden that does this. When she visits her friend, she always takes a small tote bag for the dog to steal and carry around. She gets it back when it’s time to go.

Dodo stop normalising this. We need to have boundaries with babies and animals and just saying rude in a high pitched playful voice does nothing to reinforce those safe boundaries. A dog should not be able to grab something off a babies head with its mouth whilst the parent just stands there. Why are people so afraid of saying NO to their dog or children nowadays.

It is all very cute but dogs should not steal, point. He needs to understand that he has his toys and these things do not belong to him. Perhaps with more training, structure and exercise that could reduce the issue. If any case, it is not good to have a dog chasing attention, especially around a baby. A content dog does not have the need to look for it.

Kinda sad that the mom thinks its funny. And would rather record this than teach the dog how to behave. We seen countless dog mauling babies incident, this type of behavior where the mom just let the dog is not ok. If you own a dog. Please don't follow this woman behavior cos laughter can turn into tears in a matter of seconds

Caution needed when a jealous dog, & baby share same living space. Bad behaviour of dog should be checked/stopped, before things escalate. Firm verbal discipline, not 'jokey', light 'chatty' speak. Dogs don't understand they're doing wrong if you verbally chasten in a non-serious tone.

This soruation can really escalate fast, hes jealous of the baby that can lead to a disaster why not take him out of the home instead, so many cases of dogs attacking or mauling babies. If your dog is acting this way dont liok at it as cute is a red flag

Not trying to be disrespectful but most people teach their animals to respect them and their children. You letting the animal do what the animal wants to do is no way to have a family cuz you're letting the animal tell you what to do.

No, you should not allow this behavior to continue. I had to stop watching because this is painful to watch the baby get everything taken away from her. Not good for her well-being or the formation of her selfhood and personality.

I find this disturbing in a mild way. Telling a dog they are rude is useless. Why not train the dog For me, a mother of three and grandmother of three, with a beloved dog, probably the first Dodo video I am not very fond of.

The puppy is so gentle and attentive. It's just worried about change. There are a lot of unhealthy comments. Show him that he was, is and will be part of the family with lots of love and everything will be fine.

My cat was FURIOUS at me when after just her and I for 12 years I adopted a rescue dog and had a baby within one year. And I mean FUR-ious. She never hurt either the dog or baby though she just sulked and grumped around.

So, if the dog actually does that all the time, then you should really train him a little. I do not want to be a smartass, but this possessive behavior can sometimes lead to more serious behavior toward the baby.
