Many people underestimate many things about animals, not just intelligence but emotion. They may not understand some things but they know that theyre suffering in a bad environment, and people dont understand how much harm we're doing to them as well as the harm we're doing to ourselves by keeping them in thst environment. People apparently find it easier to put them in a machine than just outside in a field where they can be peaceful even if theyre used for food, they're taking a life so let them live it.

I almost wanted to start breaking laws when I heard what happened with Blossom and her fellow hens. Not because hens are living beings. But being treated THAT horribly! It got my blood boiling. Just because they're old, it doesn't mean they have to see the chopping block. They can still be a good family member. A watch hound since they can get nasty once a stranger decides to bother with their flock.

It’s easy to forget that chickens are birds just like parrots or penguins or peacocks. We’d never dream of eating a penguin’s egg or a peacock’s egg, yet hens get treated so differently. Seeing a rescued hen safe and loved really reminds me how much all chickens deserve our care and compassion.

Growing up on a farm, we had chickens. I had my own and she ruled the whole flock. She always was the first one when I called out to her. If was outside, she followed me everywhere. She was awesome and beautiful. Thank you for bringing me her memory again. It’s been so many years since then.

We had new neighbors move behind our house & they had 2 chickens & a small coop 3 ft x 5 ft.
They got a much bigger one a few months ago, 10 ft x 10 ft, got 2 more chickens. I love them so much, they're clucking & everything else they do.

Chickens can live longer than dogs. They absolutely remember you and how you treat them. I keep all my old hens. They have experience and will still sit on eggs for other hens when they cant lay anymore.

I love to see this kind of happiness in animals, but because I love it doesn’t make me wrong that I eat meat is it wrong to Care so much about animals and then eat meat at the same time

You reminded me of
a neighbor's very
friendly chicken, who
seperated herself from
the other chicken's,
inorder to visit a 5
year old.
Thank's for the memory.

The treatment of Blossom by the egg company is sort of like the views of Corporate America to the average worker.
Happy for Blossom. If we can only live retirement like this hen.

It doesn't matter the size of ones brain, I agree with this lady. I've seen lil birds like cardinals, etc, etc, process things incredibly faster than something like a squirrel.

So adorable to see her running around! She was in such horrible shape to start out, so infuriating corporations think it’s okay to treat animals like that

I honestly wish all animals could be treated with love and kindness. I love all animals but birds of all kinds in particular. Birds are generally quite intelligent.

I had a rooster for 15 years, used to watch TV on my bed, used to sleep all day, play all day, loved Coca Cola, butter, bread, he was a character!

I raised a chicken from an egg in Biology class and named he Henny Penny. Se lived for 2 years in our backyard and had a beautiful life.

They're 2 different chickens or that lady cut the chicken's comb. And you can actually see that the healthy one is a young hen.
