One of my theories of why gazer beam didnt answer his phone is that in the first movie while running from syndrome he jumps off and goes into the cave where he finds gazer beams skeleton and in the wall the word help so thats why I think that he didnt answer his phone

Umm not to be picky but John Ratzenberger didnt voice the teacher another person did he voiced the school of fish that tells Marlin and Dory to go to the trench.
