After seeing everything about Belle's blue book that she is reading it does make a lot of sense that she is reading her own story. The sleeping beauty and Aladdin I would have never guessed but I can see how they both fit. They only thing that I think doesnt fit with either of those stories is a prince in disguise. In Aladdin he is a street rat that has a disguise as a prince and at the end of the movie he doesnt become a prince. He is just allowed to marry Jazmine being who he actually is and not what the Genie made him. In sleeping beauty the prince is never in disguise. He simply just doesnt tell her who he actually is and she doesnt know that the man from the woods is the prince until the very end. As a kid I always related belle's book to Cinderella. One because it is blue which is the iconic color for cinderella. 2. It matches her relationship with her father, like cinderella was very close to her father and had lost her mother at a young age as well. Far off places in the original Disney Cinderella when the book opens is saying once upon a time in a far away land there was a kingdom. Swords fights now this is not in the disney version but many of Cinderella versions have sword fights depending on which one you read, each cinderelle movie is depicted from a different version, but most of them, besides the disney one has some kind of reference to sword fighting. Magic spells is of course from the fairy godmother with all her magic getting Cinderella ready for the ball. A prince in disguise. Is also, known in many non disney versions where when she first meets the prince she doesnt know who he is until depending on the version she founds out later while spending time with him or like the live version shows when she sees him at the ball. Then finally there is the picture in the story book. Now the castle, looks alot like the Disney Cinderella and in some versions of Cinderella she meets the prince in the woods away from the castle. Belle and Cinderella have a lot of similarities in how they both want more then the life they have. Ever After is another dipiction on Cinderella and this version came out after Beauty and the beast, but the story was based on a previous version and in that movie Cinderella also liked to read. This was always my take on the book that belle is reading. Also, on another note Cinderella takes place in France and so does Beauty and the Beast so it makes since that she could find the book in any french town.

That was the only one I could think of because the Prince used a sword to kill the witch, the sword was even enchanted by a magic spell from the fairies to strike true (her heart.
