Our favourite half giant was apparently inspired by a Hell's Angel that Rowling knew. Sure Harry's Quidditch number (7) wasn't because 7 is a magic number? 7 comes up over and over and over in the books. Seven Weasley kids. Seven stories to Hogwarts. Seven chests held the real Moody. Seven protective spells held the Sorcerer's (or Philosopher's) stone. I know I'm forgetting many. Doubt JK was fangirling over Beckham, as handsome as he is, in any case.

I once heard Alan Rickman suggested Snape's arms and legs to have ALL of those tiny buttons running up them so his character was LITERALLY buttoned up. His cloak also fanned out to suggest a serpent's tongue. In Die Hard Alan also asked Hans Gruber to wear a fine suit instead of the casual clothes they intended originally for him to wear. Rickman was brilliant.

While I can't dispute the Beckham effect regarding Harry's Quidditch team number, I think there are other significant reasons for choosing the number seven. It functions as a clue or forewarning; there are seven books, seven horcruxes and seven 'Harry Potters' in The Deathly Hallows. There are possibly more.

I HATE! that they start the vid wis a dig at corsets! The actress playing Belatrux has wore corsets for years in theatre! She knows they are no more uncomfortable than a modern day bra!

I find it offensive that one is supposed to dress a certain way if one is gay. Im glad the wardrobe people didnt know Dumbledore was gay yet, so he was just dressed like a person (wizard person that is. Not all straight men are fashion idiots and not all gay men are fabulous all the time.

The only thing that really bugged me is that Harrys Eyes are supposed to look like his mothers. But the actresses of Lily had brown and green eyes. Wasn't there a possibility to at least make them all the same colour?
