The painful prosthetics and costumes worn by the cast of James Gunns The Suicide Squad. The standalone sequel to the 2016 film trades in some of its key cast members for a mostly new ensemble of colorful villains and antiheroes alongside returnees Harley Quinn, Rick Flag, Captain Boomerang, and Amanda Waller. The film follows Waller sending the ragtag team to the South American island of Corto Maltese to stop a military coup, but on their mission they uncover a massive government conspiracy that threatens the world as we know it. The costumes and makeup for the films wacky ensemble is extremely impressive and some of the films cast members had to get out of their comfort zone and endure uncomfortable costumes and some outlandish prosthetics. While stars Margot Robbie and Michael Rooker felt extremely awkward performing in their costumes, others such as John Cena and Flula Borg fell in love with their costumes. David Dastmalchian loved the strange feeling of Polka Dot Mans rainbow cysts while Mayling Ng had to be lathered in sealant so her orange makeup wouldnt spread. Steve Agee who was the onset standin for King Shark had to wear a heavy rubber costume complete with a metal wireframe hat to take on the role of the walking talking shark man. From crazy clown girls to psychopathic soldiers and even a giant weasel, these are the painful prosthetics and costumes behind the your favorite characters in James Gunns The Suicide Squad
