With The Kissing Booth trilogy coming to a close, a lot of reflection can be done on both the characters in the story and the actors themselves who went through some pretty significant events while they were working on the movies. Joey King shared a fair few common experiences with her character Elle, especially when it came to finding love on screen and off with Jacob Elordi. The two definitely had some awkward and bittersweet moments playing out their romance that eventually came to an end. Joel Courtney played one of the best friends a girl could dream of having and similar to his costars, the actor had quite a bit in common with Lee. Courtney acting like a hopeless romantic didnt actually require too much performance on the actors part! Rachel might be one of the sweetest characters in the entire series, her journey beginning and ending very happily with Lee. The Kissing Booth series proved to be a significant step in her career, making this job a very special one for the books. Taylor Zekhar Perez rocks our world as the extremely charming and attractive Marco a character we get to see grow and tackle adventure head on.
While there are some characters we loved from start to finish, we cant forget about those who we werent such big fans of when we first met them. Tuppen, Chloe and the OMGs werent our favorite, but over the course of the movies we got to see how they grew and actually turned out to be pretty great people who eventually are pals with the crew. Tuppen wasnt actually a jerk, Chloe was generous and kind and the OBGs well they may not be perfect, but they definitely put the effort in! All the characters grew and we just loved getting to watch their stories unfold!
Lord: Netflixs The Kissing Booth trilogy presented audiences with nuggets of wisdom and some hilarity, mostly in the form of Elles personal monologue. It was refreshing to see that the writers didnt keep the romance front and center of the film, but focused on Elles own hopes and dreams as well. Date: 2022-06-06
