1780s? But they established that Tangled is indeed set in the same universe as Frozen, and Frozen takes place in 1839. Which means Tangled takes place in or shortly before 1836 (we know from the series that at least three years pass between Rapunzel's return to her family and Elsa's coronation. Now, I can totally see Raps ending up with an outfit from sometime earlier than the 19th century, as Gothel was stuck in her favorite fashion eras herself, being over 2, 000 years old and all, and would've picked some similar influences for Rapunzel's clothes. But to be very clear, Tangled does take place in the 19th century.
Um, Elsa WAS in the privacy of her chambers. That's precisely WHY she took her hair down. It only becomes inaccurate when she refuses to put it back up after returning to Aerendelle.
Tiana's swamp wedding dress is a masquerade gown. It was NEVER meant to be from the flapper era. You guys are seriously nitpicking, and it's getting ridiculous. If you want a flapper wedding dress, look at Tiana's dress from her formal wedding. Stop inventing things to whine about and just stick to the history. If a Disney princess from the modern era danced with her prince at a 50s themed diner while wearing a poodle skirt, you guys would tear that outfit apart and put her in 2020 grunge and mask, just because it's accurate to the era. How come we're allowed to cosplay today, but people from 100 years ago aren't, hmm?

Actually rapunzel never went out the tower and had any human interaction (exept for the witch) before she met Eugene so how would she have been aware of the times' fashion and hairstyle
Elsa wore a similar outfit when she lived at the castle and at her coronation but when she fled the kindom she left behind being a princess so why would she be dressing up like one? And she wasn't exactly meeting people while living in the northern hills so why would she put her hair up
I understand that you are trying to tell us their historical accurate outfits but you seriously you need to the consider the character's personalities and living conditions before you give them a makeover we don't like

True, Elsa's dress was WAY too modern. But. A dress mad of ICE - it wouldn't've been that thick anyways, so Disney got that OK. But for Elsa's Coronation Dress it should've been like the one in this video. Anna's outfit should've been like the one in this video. I'm kinda mad that Disney made her look all Swedish instead of Norwegian. Now. Since this is the first time I'm hearing this.

Ok Rapunzel wasnt supposed to be royalty really. Even though she was, the woman who stole her made her think she was a peasant. I do agree woth the color issue though red would have been acheivable as a bright hue. And pink was attainable. So with over dying you could get a strong pink but purple probably not like that.

Elsa made the ice gown by herself by her imaginations and by the style she wanted to and only she was living in that ice palace. Just her so she can wear whatever she wanted
