Some of these things are different from the books. For example, Snape taught about wear wolfs out of spite to Lupin and the other marauders. Snape also never saw Lupin change into a wear wolf because he got knocked out and he was tied up. They were bringing him along while he was still knocked out and tied up in a vertical position, so he was banging his head on the way out of the tunnel. His famous line you have your mother's eyes. Was also not in the books, but it's kinda needed for the movie because it can't be described like in the books. All he said in the books is look at me. So he could get one last look into Lily's eyes. These are just some of the little things from the prisoner of Azkaban. There's many other things this video mentioned are different in the books

The first thing Snape asks Harry is Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood? According to Victorian Flower Language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning 'My regrets follow you to the grave' and wormwood means 'absence' and also typically symbolised bitter sorrow.
If we combined that, it meant I bitterly regret Lilys death. He really loved lily deeply.
His only mistake was that he called lily mudblood once when lily tried to protect him from James bullying
He is indeed a mentor towards Harry
ALWAYS.

He was a murderer, he only realised the consequences of his action because Voldemort chose to go after the potters rather than the longbottoms, if it was the longbottoms that were killed he wouldn't have cared. He was trying to save his own soul from the Evil he perpetrated. IF he hadn't have caused their deaths how much Good would James and Lily potter have done?

The movies are quote different from the books. For example, when Dumbledore in the chapter the prince's tale, showing the memories of Snape, if Snape ha started to care for Harry, Snape yells For him! before he cast the patronus doe, in the film he says nothing. Though, he still was very brave and the most interesting character in the books.

The Four Cardinal Things we Learned from Severus Snape. 1: People are never truly just black and white. 2: James Potter was a douche jock in school. 3: Love doesn't end after Death. And 4: The chapter on Werewolves begins on page 394.

In the first book, the first thing harry asks when he looks at snape is who is that man?
And in the last book, the last thing he says about snape is he was the bravest man I have ever known

This scene will always break my heart. It's as sad and beautiful as it was when I first saw the movie, read the books. Snape was always the true Hero in this story. RIP Alan, we will never forget you

Although I ain't done watching all the Harry Potter movies and I'm only done with Number 3, I was really shocked to see Snape ACTUALLY protect the students, and now, I understand why.

The biggest problem was when Professor Snape had to end Harry's training, because Harry had penetrated his mind! What Harry knew, Voldemort knew! Dumbledore had to take over.
