The main and crucial differences between the Andy and Cruela is Andy is wholesome and innocent and Cruela is a villain. I villain we sympathize with Yes but still a villain. Andy was overcome by influence where as Cruela makes the impression. Andy didnt really even treat her friends or boyfriend bad, they just acted like babies. Cruela was mean to her friends and it didnt even phase her.
Andy eventually averts from the cutthroat world that is the fashion industry where Cruela creates an empire.
Cruela did it her way with her rules.

1) Emily and Estella Look and dress similar and are both British with dyed red hair. You could swap their closets and not even be able to tell the difference. Also, their names are kind of similar. Cruella is like if you took Emily, Andy, 1990s Cruella, and Mirandas rival put them in a blender and got Cruella/Estella as a result.
2) Cruella is similar to Mirandas rival (I dont know her name but in the movie Miranda hates her because shes a rival magazine with new ideas like Cruella)
3) Miranda hates her competitor because she represents the new and Miranda represents the old and she knows shes in danger of being replaced similar to the Baroness and Cruella.
4) Miranda and the Baroness are both cruel narcissists.
5) Emily and Cruella are both cruel.
Thats all I got but Im surprise no ones talking about the Emily/ Cruella comparison. Thats the first thing I picked up on when I watched both movies.

Andrea is about 99% innocent little girl, even after taking Emily's Paris trip Andrea continuously apologized and felt remorse.
Estella admired fashion since her childhood.
Andrea never took fashion seriously, she simply tries 'not to fail'.
Estella having a job with the Baroness was like a dream for her.
Andrea got a job at Runway for no reason.
Estella loved working for the Baroness no matter how she was treated.
Andrea always hated her job after receiving it.
Estella chose revenge after seeing how evil Baroness is.
Andrea simply left Miranda.
A young girl landing in a big city and getting a job with a harsh boss. You could find tons of movies like that.

Okay no. Cruella is based on 101 Dalmatians a book from the 60s or something. Devil wears prada is a book from the 2000s based on Anna wintour a real person. They both just happen to be fierce evil women in fashion. The scene were the baroness steps out of the car doesnt copy Miranda prisley, it copys glen close 1999 101 Dalmatians which inspired the Miranda priesly entrance scene. If anything it was the devil wears prada that copied 101 Dalmatians

Baroness is more straightforward. She bosses people around but she doesnt make you guess what she really wants or come up with a solution to a visibly impossible problem (unless plot provides a saviour. She even told Estella she is using her as a tool. Such clear cut attitude helps to prevent unnecessary hopes and dreams. This is why Baroness would be a better boss if I have to choose between the two.

It seems the reason Andi chose life and Cruella chose death, was that Andi had love and support the whole way through, her father was there for her, reminding her who she is. When Cruella realized her mother was a Psycho, she didn't think she could ever be good, so she gave up. So powerful what love and identity does!

And Andy is completely different from Estella. Different motivations, methods, everything.

I love Miranda in a whole different level however. The Baroness is just plain greedy and evil. Miranda is a Queen of her own, holding dignity and authority without commanding anyone out of it.
