The Harder They Fall is a western, unlike anything we have ever seen! The JayZproduced film features an incredible soundtrack with original songs just for the film, impressively decorated sets featuring hundreds of different shades of paint color, and all the real horse action we could ask for! Director Jeymes Samuel also penned the script and lent his music expertise to the songwriting and producing aspect of the movie as well. Horses play a leading role in this movie and while we love seeing their work, Idris Elba wasnt such a fan of his animal costar since he, unfortunately, is pretty allergic to the majestic creatures. Where there are horses in a Western there are loads of cowboy stunts Jonathan Majors even insisted on performing all of his own. Everyone on their team committed one hundred and ten percent to this production and sometimes, that commitment to bringing the story to life could go a bit too far. During one big fight specifically, actors actually wound up making full contact with their fists, taken over by the heat of the moment! Even when they didnt have rehearsal on their schedule, a couple of actors went ahead and rehearsed against what Netflix had wanted! Regina King and Zazie Beetz gave it their all and spent extra time rehearsing with their stunt doubles to make sure their big fight could be as epic as possible. Making a movie this huge is tough, but it was made even more complicated by the fact that the pandemic hit them very close to home Idris Elba coming down with Covid a few weeks into production. While it was a rough start, this team still managed to bring a brilliant movie to our screens

More or less all of the characters in the film are really entertaining to watch!
They all have plenty of moments to shine too.
The action is shot well, and the cinematography is great!
However I do think the film could have been trimmed down by at least 10-15 minutes because it can feel a little slow paced at times.
But overall this is a film that I didnt really have any intention of watching but I found myself really enjoying this film!

The Harder They Fall is as realistic as possible. My family agrees the finish product amazed us as a million dollar production. Worthy of the highest awards! Costumes. Western towns. Music score. Color tones. The horses. Camera locations. My favorite scene is the love between Mary & Nat. And Trudy & Rufus. WOW! Fabulous.

This is a really cool film to be honest!
Its a cool looking film, it has a cool soundtrack and a cracking cast playing really cool characters!
Jonathan Majors is really good as the lead.
Idris Elba is great as the villain!

Best film of the year. Regina king is a beautiful woman. All these great talents kicked ass. I've watched this movie 26 times since it has aired.
