Marvel never fails to impress with their CGI and it played a key part in making some of the most epic fights possible!
ShangChi brings all kinds of battles to life from an acrobatic scaffolding adventure to the busy streets that were home to the bus fight that made Simu Liu the star he is. The duel between ShangChi and his father in the movie brings emotionally powerful and visually arresting performances and CGI plays a major part in completing those images! When Black Widow battles, she doesnt need to be on land. In the air, on land the more locations the better! Scarlett Johansson whipped out all the moves to be captured so the CG team could move her around in space to complete the image of the battle. When SpiderMan was tripping through the various worlds Mysterio sent him through, he was in just one room the whole time except for when he was doing his motioncapture performances! SpiderMan battling the swarming drones in and around the Tower Bridge came together thanks to layers and layers of some of the most realistic CG weve ever seen. The Battle of Wakanda was filmed in a few locations over multiple days but its no surprise considering the epic scale of the fight. The landscape they filmed in was the perfect backdrop and only got some touchups in post.
These battles wouldnt be the same without the CGI, but in many of these cases, the live filming was just as interesting looking. Everyones work comes together pretty perfectly in these cases
