I had this theory during the middle of the movie when Mirabell sang and noticed the cracks. I was disappointed when it ended before, but I had this theory that her powers had to do with the house having cracks. The argument between her and Abuela kind of proved my theory. I feel like her powers have to do with her emotions. When she was singing, she had emotions. When she argued with Abuela, she had emotions. However, at the end, when the house got back to its form, I realised that maybe it's love that keeps the house together, and the house felt the tension. But it could be both.
